Looking for feedback on this line I took with KK's.

Playing live $1$2 at the table for a few hours.
Had been playing tight. I have a tight image, but there are a couple of players that are not really paying attention and I knew they would call a raise regardless of what they held.

It limped with 4 players back to me.
I have Ks,Kc
I raise pre-flop to $15

All four call. $75 in the pot.

Flop: 2s 5s Js

So I check to make sure one of my kings was the spade. I have $250 in front of me.

I bet out $45 into the pot of $75 knowing full well someone might shove, I was willingly to go all in with the Ks.

I thought checking was bad, I didn't want to give up control of the pot.
I didn't think moving all in was good but since I was willing to go all in if someone shoved should I have done it?

I thought the $45 looked like a good strong value bet, I was hoping that know one had the Ace.

What do you think?

In those spots I say f it and bet pot ~$75. If they shove, I call.

bet pot or close to it... no need to get tricky against 4 players. They aren't paying attention to anything else but their cards anyways so they are not going to understand what you are trying to do with your bet sizing. The only thing they are worried about is if they can make a flush, if they have the best hand, and what two cards you have (AK, ldo). You are losing value when you make these small bets. They either call or they dont, no matter what the bet size is up to PSB.

Yeah, I wish I made it more pre flop. That was my chance to build the pot. But I didn't really want to get overly committed before seeing the flop.

They all folded to my flop bet

Raise to $20 pf and bet closer to the pot on the flop. If someone gets there with the A so be it.
