Game played yesterday.
Stack Sizes:
Hero(UTG+1): 200
V1(CO): ~140
V2(BTN) Covers

Action:
Hero has been playing for 2-3 rounds. I raised a few hands, was up and down but back to 200. UTG straddles to 4, Hero (UTG+1) raises to 15. V1(Passive young black guy) calls, then V2(white, mid 20s) raises to 50. Folds to hero. I honestly didn't even notice BTN before the 3-bet, so I'll assume he was kinda tight. He might've limped a couple. It was the first 3-bet since I arrived at the table. I have been raising my fair share of hands. Before getting 3-bet, the straddler commented that I have been aggressive.

What's your move?

Fold. Sure, you can flop a set, but are you going to put in 25% of your stack pf to draw at 2 outs? NO. An assuming you did call, what are you going to do when UTG reshoves when it gets back to him? So, calling isnt really an option because it will open you up to either folding to another raise pf or lighting $50 on fire because you didnt hit your set. Or you get a flop 10 and under and pay off the real over pair after convincing yourself he missed with AK/AQ. Dont put yourself in this spot when strength has been shown on several levels befor you.

This is just simply a bad spot with a marginal hand, and in 1/2 there will be alot better spots to come. Let this one go and wait for a much better spot. An next time, tell us a bit more about the table dynamics and reads. Good luck!

I'd open a little bigger considering the straddle. Probably to $20ish. Once we get 3bet, just dump it. More than likely our best case scenario is were flipping vs AKs... but we are probably crushed by QQ+.

OK, well I did fold, and so did (CO). I thought it would be the right move but just wanted to make sure. Thanks for the input everyone.

pretty easy fold IMO. It sucks having to fold that strong of a hand, but it's so rarely anything but QQ+/AK, usually waited towards KK/AA, b/c a lot of people just call a raise with AK preflop.

I would have to fold as well. I also agree that many 1/2 players tend to just flat with AK especially AKo p/f. Unless you're able to have a better read on the white guy, then it's an easy fold. You'll find better spots in your session.
