Holding A6, I call a pre-flop raise from $8 to $18. There's a total of 5 people in the pot. Flop comes 789. First to act checks, and 2nd to act goes all in for a remaining $48. I have him well covered, but there's 3 other players behind. Villian is a pretty straight-forward player, so I know at that point he probably has me beat, but do I have the right odds to call?

relevant issues missing:

Your stack size
Other villain's stack sizes
The exact action preflop
Description of villains and their tendencies

But most likely in this situation I would fold.

Grunch

Pot 138? Under 3:1 to call. What are effective stacks of other players yet to act? Anyways we might be drawing dead to a bd flush. Ez fold with out super deep stacks.

You're pretty much crushed here considering the chances that even if you make your straight you'll probably still lose. Even if you call, one of the other 3 players can shove over the top... then you'll really have to fold.

Fold.

You may be able to call here with a flush draw or the ten, but not with the six. This is an easy fold with three players still to act.
