Table of full of loose passive players.
UTG raises 4X (~100BB)
Two callers (each about 50 to 100BB)
hero on BUT A8 (90+BB) calls,
BB calls (~80BB).

($41) Flop
J 56
UTG bets $15, 2 fold, Hero raises to $50, BB folds, UTG tanks long and calls.

($137) Turn
7

UTG checks. Hero (~135) ?

All thoughts welcome , pre flop to turn.

Spoiler:
Hero shoves. UTG tanks long and calls and flips JQo. Hero misses.

I've got more experience in tourneys, not so much in cash, but here is my thinking for what it's worth.

Pre-flop: good.

Flop: good, although I probably lean towards a bet around $55 - $60.

Turn: you have 18 outs assuming he doesn't have two pair/set. Push and check are both good, and for balance you have to mix both plays. I would lean towards checking more often, as villian won't give you credit for an overpair with preflop action, and his likely holdings (Jx/TT/99/88) all could look you up.

River: If checking turn, bet about half-pot on river no matter what (brick, A, or straight/flush card).

In general, checking the turn and firing the river should be more +EV than pushing the turn.

when they are loose passive you dont push draws. you hit them cheap and let them pay you off.

Pre-flop: good

Flop: raise is fine but I think I prefer a call (they'll still pay us off for one big bet when we hit the flush). If I raise, I make it closer to the size of the pot like 65.

Turn: I think I prefer a check. Villain has AJ or an overpair. He did not call the flop to fold on the turn. Shoving the turn is not terrible if we think he folds sometimes.

If we hit an ace on the river, I'm probably checking behind unless I think villain will pay off a bet of 30 into 137 with a worse hand and is never check-raising.

What does 4xbb raise utg mean? Is that a standard raise at this table or is it a hand like AJo or a middle pair.
