1/2 $300 max. V is in MP. 30s-40s asian guy. Seems competent for this level. Hero MAWG. We are both about $600 effective.
V MP raises to $10. Folds to hero on button with 55 and we call. I think one of the blinds calls.
Flop: $30. 5 6 J r. V1 bets $15, hero flats, other player folds.
Turn: $60. 5 6 J - 9. Brings 2nd diamond. Other diamond is the 6. We don't have a diamond. V1 bets $35, we make it $100, V1 calls quickly but not too quickly. Alarm bells are going off here because of the straight draw coming in I expect him to at least think about AJ/QQ+
River: $260. 5x 6d Jx 9d 8x. We have about $470 or so behind.
V checks. River sizing and why? Assume from reads V almost never has a 7 nor QT. His range is JJ, AJ, AdJd, AK/Qdd and QQ+
I'll post my thinking later.

Based on that, I'm always betting. Probably about $150 and fold to a shove because we are showing a lot of strength.

If you're thinking about betting now, why not raise bigger on the turn?

I like $150. Big enough to not get raised without the nuts, small enough to get called by any number of hands you beat.

I'm raising flop with bottom set.
As played, I'm just checking this river back. We are likely only getting paid of on small bets and the times we get c/r it's a disaster.

I was thinking if I make it look like value he might fold top set as I can very very easily represent a straight here. I bet $150 and he tank called with JJ.
I was not even concerned w/ getting raised except by QT which I really don't see him having ever as he's handcuffed.
I was just wondering if anybody bets larger as a value/bluff merge or check back or even bet smaller as a pure thinner value.
