1/2 Can we fold kings? 1/2 Can we fold kings?

We're sitting at $400 and the villain in this hand is an old man but he's a complete fish on a crazy upswing sitting on $1100

Hand history:

Villain limps I raise to 15 in the HJ with KK CO calls button calls villain goes "let's play some real poker!" And raises to $100

In my opinion there is very very little chance that this is anything but aces. However kings are kings and a donk can do some spewey things sometimes. Do we ever feel good about getting it in here?

Villain is a "complete fish" and "donk" and "there is very very little chance that this is anything but aces."

Huh?

He's an old man limp reraising doing it way too big and giving a speech before hand this ticks off pretty much every box for me

So there is more than a "very very little chance" that he has aces? Or not?

Then fold.

But your reads are inconsistent.

When you say complete fish, could you describe the dynamic and reasons why you label him as a crazy fish? Any relevant hand histories? What was his 3bet sizings previously? 15->100 is quite large.

But, against a LAG fish, I'm happy to get it in with KK. Often times when we're playing with villains, we get a really good read on how they play and their tendencies. If you have a read that his range is only aces here, fold. Exploitative play > GTO. If you call, the SPR is 3:2 and you basically have to stack off anyways on the flop, so it's either fold or jam. The speech and overly large raise gives away the strength of his hand IMO. It's nitty but I think folding KK here is not that bad of a play.

He has never 3 bet before in the 8 hours we've been playing together im the only one at the table raising and I moved to be directly to his left.

Relevant hand histories: hand is 5 ways limped I'm on the bb with 95o flop is 954 club club I bet 10 good player to my left rr to 25 fish calls 25 I rr to 75 he calls turn is an ace offsuit I bet 90 he jams and I call he rolls over ace 9

Another hand I have KQ diamonds I raise to 12 get 3 callers flop is k65 2 spades I bet 40 he calls turn is a 6 and he lead jams and rolls over A6

Unless he or you is about to leave i guess we can gii with kings.

Besides that, if you say he is the donk he is and trust your reads, you could lay it down.

I think the answer is never fold KK pre. I have never folded KK pre and... man this might make me do it. He only has to have less than AA like 40% of the time or something... I think he does all of this with AK, KK, or QQ at least occassionally, i dont know if he could just spew with ATC some amount.

Folding here isnt crazy. Id ship just because I think Id trust my cards over my reads. If he flips over AA id give him a bit of crap about the lets gamble line though :P "hey man, let me know when you actually want to gamble"

Never folding KK pre is HORRIBLE advice. There are plenty of times to fold KK pre. When their range is KK+. Easiest fold ever. I agree that the reads are inconsistent. If he's a donk then he's gonna look at JJ the same way he looks at AA. If you're wrong about that, then a speech and a big raise from an old guy is probably KK+ and this is a snap fold.

Ticks off every box for me as well like an earlier poster mentioned, if you ever should make a fold with KK its this time.

The speech he made i found is incredibly consistent with the nutz, ive seen this correlation demonstrated time and time again, over and over. They feel so comfortable with the stones, and then they feel so good and secure about it that they want to put on a hollywood show.

Ive folded KK pre couple of times, but that was with very deep stacks of like 500-600 BB. Doing it for 200 BB or less its incredibly hard to do for multiple reasons, one of them is that even rocks or nits do make weird plays from time to time.
