I am playing in a pretty loose $1-2 game at my local casino. I have been playing about 5 hours and I am even, in for two buy ins.

V1 is a weak passive, goes all the way with top pair hands. Only bets strong when he has a strong hand. Is likely to call with weak top pairs and weak two pairs and will check back his weak top pairs. Has shown down J5 and Q2, one for just top pair and another for a made two pair on the turn.

Hero ($400) is in SB with 53
V1 ($250) UTG limps.
4 more limps.
Hero limps.
BB checks.

Flop ($14)
5K3.

Hero bets $15.
BB calls $15. (Range is any pair, straight draw, weak K)
V1 calls $15. (Range is all K's that aren't two pair)
Limper calls AI for $7.

Turn ($42 main, $24 side)
9.

Hero bets $35.
BB folds.
V1 calls. (Range is all K's that aren't two pair, KX)

River ($42 main, $94 side)
T

Hero?!?!

Spoiler:
I am stuck on making a 1/3 pot size bet or just checking. I feel he might be able to call with KJ and KQ. I don't think AK is in his range too often because he would raise that preflop. Not sure about K8 and down. I think he would calls with those weak Ks if I bet smaller (1/3 pot) and would probably fold if I bet 1/2 pot or bigger. I decided to check as the board did run out 's and that K9 and KT are possible hands for V1. This made me wonder if I missed a bet or if the check is fine?

b/f fairly small....$40ish to bring in the widest portion of his weaker 1pr range. Better will raise you and you can fold. But, we know he'll call with some pretty weak stuff.

However, fold pre. 53o just flopped gin and you still don't know where you are. I complete with a wide range, too, with these odds.....but not this wide.

Now that I think about it $40 is a great bet. It is small enough for him to call with weak 1 pair hands and also small enough that if I get raised I can easily let it go.

When I am getting 13:1 I will complete my SB with anything that can flop a straight.

Small blocker bet seems right here. $50 or something like that.

River was a bad card.

I totally disagree with folding this PF.

As played, I believe your bet sizing could stand a little criticism. Slightly over pot on super dry flop - I don't really like it, unless the game is such that you can bet large like this and extract massive value, then I love it.

However, you bet very small on turn ~1/2 pot (small in relation to your flop bet size), so something is off IMO. As played, I like a 1/3 to 1/2 pot sized VB river, folding to a raise. You are almost always best here still, excepting KT, Kxs, A4s, A2s... and any king will usually pay off a small river bet.
