Hey guys!

Hero/BB(400) Young 20s white kid. Bluffy laggy image lately as I've shown down two busted combo draws where I bet/3b and whatnot in the past hour.

Villian/UTG2(400) MAWG wearing Party Poker hoody. Tightest player at the table(this is not saying much!) , Average aggro factor. Seems to only Cbet the best spots. Dealers/players know him by name.

V open limps and 4 others follow.

Hero checks the option with the 85

6way
FLOP(12) 852

Hero leads for 8
The world calls

6way
TURN(60) 8

Hero leads for 30, At this point I had began to loose track of the pot as everyone practically snap called. I think this could have been larger in hindsight.

V calls and rest fold.

River(120) Q

Hero?

I think the majority of Vs range consists of x8 type hands and busted clubs.

Im unsure if V will ever bet a busted draw here when checked to. He will always bet x8+

On the other hand, with our image I think a lead here could get looked up pretty light. I think our hand looks like busted clubs as well.

What say you?

Lots of busted flushes and maybe an A5, A8 hand. Another 30 should snag two - it's like betting 60 hu. Because you got so many players left IMO size smaller to get max callers. You make it up in volume.

I'd rather er on the side of betting for value, and hoping to get called by a mid pocket pair like 99 or 77 than to try to induce a bluff from a busted draw at 1/2.

I'd bet the turn a bit more, $40 or so. We did get 5 callers (wtf) on the flop.
River seems like $95 should be good.

We will def get called by 8x.
May get looked up by QX
Should always get looked up by hearts.

I don't think your average tight player at 1/2 will bluff missed draws enough to balance out the loss in value from worse hands that will check behind.

get into the habit of not losing track of pot size. do a mental math and know the pot before the next card hits the felt on each street.

consider a shove on the river. could be a fairly inelastic calling range on this board, especially considering your image. shoving might be the most EV play here. have to run the numbers with assumptions to know for sure.

I keep it small here. Maybe something like $40. Could induce a raise from him if he backed into hearts somehow. It should get value from his turn calling range. If he had a big 8x then I would have expected to have heard about it on the turn. So nice and small to try and get a few more bucks out of what is a fairly weak range.

I would actually bomb $150 here and get looked up by all 8x, clubs that picked up top pair, or 99-JJ. But betting small isn't bad either if you think he's not going to level himself into calling.

Betting looks a lot better on this river. The draws that missed are going to figure you for a lot of 8X and not bet. Really good 8X and boats probably would have raised at some point already. Villain's range is mostly bluff catchers and moderate strength hands that might call a bet are mostly going to be happy to check behind if you check.

I like $80 on river but sometimes (say 20% of so) fo to $150. The $80 has a much better chance of getting called by hands that don't have an 8 and might get raised by a good 8X or smaller boat. Raises are unlikely though, more likely villain has a weak 8X that will call a big bet but not raise.
