1/2 Mohegan Sun 10 handed

V1: Big Latino guy, playing pretty loose i.e. raising blind, playing hands blind. He is about to win the high hand jackpot for the hour with a king high straight flush which pays $500 so he seems to be throwing money around. (~200)

V2: Older man, looks like a mad scientist or albert einstein without a mustache but he is a regular who i've seen many times before but haven't played against much. Competent player who picks up on weakness pretty well. (~400)

Hero: Early twenties, talking with table everyone is pretty friendly decent TAG image, showed down kings earlier to pick off a bluff but i don't think either V saw that. Overall playing well this session after losing earlier in the day. worked a stack from $234 up to (~500)

Action:

One limper around to V2 in MP who opens for 10

Folds to Hero in CO who calls with AT

V1 calls in BB, Three hands to the flop

Flop (~33) KQ7

V1 leads for 10

V2 calls 10

Hero calls 10

Turn (63) KQ73

V1 bets 15

V2 calls 15

At this point I thought both of them were pretty weak considering how loose V1 is he could be leading out with any piece of the board and setting a price for himself with a weak Kx or Qx 1 and if V2 had a hand already he would have raised, from the time i've been playing with him he plays his made hands quickly. My plan was to throw in a raise with the NFD and fire another bullet to fold out any of the weak TP or SecondPR V1 has.

Hero raises to 50

V1 calls quickly

V2 mumbles a second and folds

River (178) KQ73J

V leads out for $70

Hero? my question here is whether to flat or raise I didn't realize how much V1 had behind at the time but I elected to flat in the rare chance he does have some weaker flush.

Thanks!!

With v1 as described in the hand I don't like the turn raise at all. It would be much better if you were heads up with v2, or 3-way vs 2 competent opponents. You need a lot of FE for it to be more profitable than calling.

Given your read that he'd raise turn with a flush, its a pretty clear shove otr. Id expect to stack 2 pair a lot.

grunch: shove

only because you're shallow so he'll probably call off with Kx, Qx, 2p, almost everything except air even if he was just taking a stab. if you were deeper i'd call because of the usual "what would call me that i beat" but when he's only got about 60 behind the answer is almost his whole range especially if he's playing loose because he knows he has a bonus coming. you hit your straight. make him pay. if he has the flush, oh well.

i don't think i would have raised the turn but i don't think you're without merit for doing so either. but you have 2 villains and you have the direct odds to draw so i'd probably take those odds and just call.

I like the semi-bluff raise but you need to make it larger. Once Villain calls turn he is not folding river, so firing another barrel shouldn't even be a consideration.

As played shove. Even deeper shoving is probably optimal (easier said than done though). BTW, fold pre.

Given description of Villain 1, I don't think hes folding on the turn to a check raise that isn't much larger or his entire stack if he has a pair and any decent flush draw. Heck, if he is as loose as you say he may even call an all-in with that. Personally, I am just calling the turn bet in this spot.

As played, I agree with others on shoving the river. He will likely stack off with 2 pair or worse considering he has committed more than half his stack. I don't think it is an easy shove, but I think most villains would check raise all in with a flush here after your raised the turn, as you are likely going to bet the river.
