Villain (300) - 50s, male, white. Stack size when I got to the table. Has been passive nor aggressive. Shown willingness to see flops but pretty abc post.

Hero (300) - 20s, male, white. 100 up since he sat down. Only showed down one hand which was AJ that flopped a boat. Bets have not received much respect (table is mostly 40+) but they have given up OTT or river.

V limps in the HJ and I look down in the BB with 63o. I check. 8 players in the pot.

Flop(16)- 542hh. I lead for 17 and V calls.

Turn(50)- Jc. I bet 35. V tanks and raises to 75.

Hero.....?

Well the worst thing you can do here is just call and risk a scare card coming off, you can either min-raise and easily get all the money in on the river, or just shove right now

Just shove. If he's raise/folding the turn, it won't matter what you reraise. (FWIW, this is definitely a stretch, since when almost all passive players raise postflop, they're gonna go with their hand no matter what) If he's got a set or a big draw, odds are hes gonna go with it no matter what since hes put a 1/3 of his stack in now. There are too many bad turn cards for your hand, and youre OOP, so there's really no other option than to shove.

When a passive player raises at anytime you can be certain he loves his hand. Especially when a passive player raises on the turn or river you can be certain he is never folding. Just shove.

You guys might be a little bit deep yet but I also like just shoving, Any heart that comes could scare villain away and a paired board might give him the best hand.

raise to $175. Shove river.

AI is way too strong imo. He'll obviously call the $100 on top on turn, then he'll ship his remaining $100 or so OTR (he's committed even if a heart hits)

Well I raised to 150, with intention of shoving on the river. But he folded. That is what made me ask the question if I missed out on value. Idk what he would raise and fold to OTT.

Seems more like a bluff if he is folding

This, but I would have shoved the turn for sure. Any heart or 3 or 6 etc... kills your action. Ive seen old guys put in $250 in these spots and fold AJ face up for their last $50 when the heart hits the river.

Also, there are a TON of hands he could be semi-bluffing or drawing with (all flush draws, J6, A6, J3, etc) and if he bricks the river he won't call $2, so a ship is what we MUST do in this spot IMO.

Just ship it, he calls with his big hands and draws. His $75 raise is saying he has an awesome hand. All I can think is maybe he peeled with AJ (gutshot and 2 overs) and decided to test you.

A lot of villains in live games min-raise post-flop to "see where they're at". Even though it is common, it's not common enough to justify a call here instead of shipping/raising.
