1st you need to determine if V would pay you off if you hit.
as OP stated in one of his responses "what about implied odds"
which if your not going to get paid off if you spike a set really doesn't matter.
2nd is how good are you really at post flop play?
(not how good do you think you are BUT actually how good are you?"

3rd does V have a fold button?
4th Does V play fit or fold?

If V's starting range is AA KK QQ JJ AK or AQ suited then

speaking for myself I would call to set mine here

Exactly.

20 years ago, a common piece of advice was if you can't raise, don't call. The game has changed a lot since then, but there's still a nugget of wisdom in that advice, especially in LLL poker where the game has not changed as much as the online game.
