I haven't played with the villain before, but he seems like a competent TAG, quite aggressive post-flop. The effective stack is ~£750. Villain got me covered, SB is a short stack fish with £55.
8 players on the table.
I get dealt 4
4
on HJ and I open to 6, villain 3bets to 25 from button, SB short calls (leaving£30 behind), I call.
Flop: K
8
4
(£76)
So I flop low set and check behind SB. B bets £40, SB calls his all in of £30 and I decide to call. Since the board is pretty dry, except flush draw and villain is pretty aggressive post, I decided to play it slow.
Turn: 6
(£186)
I check, villain bets £80, I call.
River: A
(£346)
I check, villain bets £150. I ???
At this point I think that villain has AA, KK, AK and maybe some AT+
in his range, so the question is whether I value raise this river. What can I get value from? The way I played, I think that my set is disguised and I should get value from AK, but that should be only hand we can get value from. Since he has 3 combos of AA and 3 combos of KK and 9 combos of AK. It might be too thin of a value raise, what are your thoughts?
