Player profiling .

UTG - Very loose aggressive, opens 6x with K5s and often squeezes his straddle
Villain - Loose passive player from the past 20+ hands
Hero image - TAG in general..

Hero was in HJ and had around 110BB
Villain was MP had 250bb

Straddle at $5 from utg,

villain calls $5
Hero raise to $15 with TT
button and CO and straddler calls, villain calls raise of $15 after cold calling straddle.

5 way flop .

8 9 4 rainbow

UTG donk bets for $21 into pot of 75
Villain 2 raises to $51
Hero jams for $95
UTG folds.
Villain calls for remaining $44 ldo

thoughts???

What are your reads on V? Do you have any history with him? But yes without any info on these V's this looks like a pretty bad shove to me with a raise and a 3 bet in front of you. I think you are mostly going to see 98, 88, 99 and 44 here and rarely a draw.

Has villain shown down any hands in the last 20 hands?

You describe him as passive and he's showing aggression here. This is somewhat a concern.

Still don't mind the shove

Is this more or less a friendly home game? I can't help but feel your preflop raise is too small here. I feel $20 is enough to get the one call you were looking for instead of four. Otherwise, your action is good postflop.

i guess it's either shove or fold since im trying to push out the rest. I was the 3 bettor btw, villain just simply raised a donk bet.....

Yea if u were going to shove, preflop was the time to do it...gets rid of all 4-4, 8-9o kind of hands

You are the opposite of deep here. $110 w a $5 straddle, I'd be looking to get heads up by going ~30 after the limp and w the loose straddler. Then I'd shove any flop.

Agreed, you are actually playing really shallow, and as such, I believe you are committed on this flop with an SPR of just over 1.

Just for the record you're only 110 bbs effective so you're actually not deep. It's important for this hand. If you actually jammed for 200-300 bbs then this would be bad.

Shoving is fine. It's a home game so I imagine you're likely to get it in against a lot of 9x and even 77 if my own home game experience is any indication.

villain showed 99 just for those who really want to know. In fact i already had a feeling when he raised the initial bet from utg to $51 , thing is it looked so much like 44 too.

i just didnt expect this guy to be so passive to call the $5 straddle rather then raise it with 99. so anyway when he showed up with a set i wasn't really surprised. just couldn't fold my tens on this board. such a bad player i am

the player profiling i did totally went well with my read just that i did an impulse shove. i got the ability to fold this pair of tens. sigh ....
