don't have a lot of history with the villain, all I know is he's a grinder and he plays a tight aggressive style not involved in a lot of pots but he seems to play them strong when he is in a pot.

everyone folds to the HJ and the villain makes it $20, the co is a loose player who pays off light calls $20. Hero is on the btn with 710 calls and the bb calls. 4 way action to the flop. stacks are $1500 deep

4 way action flop($82) 6 K J. bb checks, villain makes it $60 co folds, hero calls, and bb folds. My intentions on the flop was not to specifically call for a flush but had intentions to try and take the pot away on the turn if it was heads up. bb folds heads up to the turn.

turn comes 9($202) villain bets $125. Hero calls. now that I hit the flush I changed it up vs this particular person and decided to just call with intentions on raising a river bet.

River 5($452) villain bets $100.....hero? When he made it $100 on the river I was pretty confused if this was to induce a raise or if he was going for thin value considering my hand doesn't look super strong after just calling twice, but as it stands I makes it $310. Villain makes its $850 to go. Final pot($1612)-$540 more to call.

Do you find a call here based on how the hand was played or find a fold?
the river raise is what caught me by surprise didn't know if the $540 more was going for the home run value or a hand he turned into a bluff holding the Ad knowing I couldn't have nut flush.

Easy snap fold.

The raise shouldn't come as a surprise though. You should know whether you are going to call or fold before you even make the raise.

I find a call he probably has Q10 with the Qd or like you said bluffing with the Ad unpaired board so no chance of a full according to me it's a call

fold there is no way described villain is raising with anything less than an ace high flush.

pf - tight guy raised and you flatted with a med. suited two gapper... I would want a few more players in the hand.

I don't even consider calling preflop with this hand.

As played, I'm probably just calling the $100 river bet and definitely folding to the 3-bet.

PSB OTR, probably a straight. I'm calling off, stacking in the case he has a higher flush. But even for the nut flush, that would mean he played AJ this aggressively? Doubtful.

So Qhigh flush? QT is the only hand makes sense by his image. And we've got the Td.

His river b/r feels weak. He bets 1/5PSB, to raise PSB? From a grinding reg this screams steal. Given PF play, I see plenty of Jsets, KJ in his range. Occasionally a QT, but rarely a nut flush or second nut flush based on the board.

Fwiw this is why we don't like playing garbage.

Edit: AQs is a possibility. Still I don't see it.

Given villains tight image he's probably not opening with QTo.

His range is heavily weighted toward AJdd & AQdd. You really think he's going to 3 bet you with air in this spot? He played river perfectly, lead out with a blocker and apparently weak bet hoping for you to raise and it worked. Raise folding here is okay but you're never getting called by worse except maybe a set of Kings or Jacks. Most people aren't capable of turning their sets into 3 bet bluffs OTR especially when there's straight and flush possibilities. I like to just call and see a showdown here even though it seems super passive.

When we raise the river our hand is face up as a flush. So when he re-raises he is saying that he isn't scared of a flush, which is pretty much always the nuts here. The only somewhat reasonable bluff here would be if he had a hand like AdKx or AdAx and was using the Ad to be able to bluff as if he has the nuts but I can't imagine he could expect you to fold in this spot.
