Now you're arguing that it's -EV against his range, which is a reasonable argument and a completely different one than "given the stakes and player type it just seems like a high variance, low equity play." I suppose "low equity" is a way of saying -EV, i.e. negative equity. What does variance matter to this decision?

It's never a good idea to bluff your entire stack against an oponenent who is half asleep, calling down light, and playing too many hands.

I'm trying to wrap my head around why someone would bluff shove a brick river on a drawless board against a Villain who snap-called the turn?

Against certain opponents who "slot" certain hands like TPWK as good enough to call two streets but not good enough to stack off with, it could be a very profitable line occasionally. There's no reason to think this is that sort of opponent.
