Of course he is. One hallmark of bad players is that they play fit n fold post. They might stick with 3rd pair, sure, but it's hard to make a pair in holdem....

Bottom pair or a gutter is a fit with the bad players in the room I play in, 2 overs might is never a fold.

Most of the greatest people to have in my game are pretty resilient to the old fold button

Yeah, exactly. The ones where I play don't make speeches but occasionally one of them will shake their head and look like everyone is an idiot if there's a hand where two aggro players are going at each other.

Grunch. Maximizing value and minimizing losses by folding. It's really that simple and just what you expect. The key imo is to maximize your value. This means not being shy about going for thin value. Sometimes you will shove into a stronger hand but much of the time you will make an extra 50, 100 or 200 bbs which is huge. Also to quote Ed Miller, unless proven otherwise when most LLSNL players bet big on the turn and river it's generally not a bluff. After reading that I've probably saved hundreds of bbs folding bluffcatchers. Sometimes I'll get shown a bluff. That's fine. I'm not sure if that applies to 2/5 though. But I find that pretty accurate for 1/2 and 1/3.

I may be repeating something already mentioned in slightly different words but the one thing that I always seem to notice in easy/soft games that abound in LLSNL is the fact that our opponents let us realize our equity way too often.

We get to draw for free more often and fold when we miss or we get more calls than we should when we value bet. Interspersed are the absurd coolers and bad beats but in soft games/easy games I know i'll be able to see turns and rivers when i want to allowing me to catch things like runner runner to a flush or straight say or called when my opponent should fold. Thus we are presented with more opportunities to be in profitable situations.

In other words: given a duplicate situation with 2 different players, the better player makes the decision that results in the most favorable outcome whether it is folding betting etc.
