Live cash game in Los Angeles

1/3 Hero $300
Villain $355

Hero sits down and plays two orbits. Hero is in the Big Blind with KK.

Preflop:
Villain limps, one more limper, SB folds, Hero raises $18.

Villain then 3! to $60.

Villain is 55, chatting to her friend sitting behind her in Spanish. She has 3 $100 black chips and the rest in reds. She just seems like shes there just to kill time.
I haven't seen her play one had where she had folded every hand and chopped her big blind once.

So with Villain's description what 3! range are we putting her on? AA for sure, maybe AK we block some combos, and maybe QQ?

No enough info. The LRR line used to be AA only, but that's only true of the newer/bad players.

Personally, I shove as I say: "AA is good" (with a $300 stack in a 1/3).

Too many red flags for me...

I've personally never folded KK pre in a cash game - but if I ever were to - it'd be in a spot like this.

X2 on the red flags. It's not AK. They don't do that with AK and no dead money in between, and even then they usually don't. Ask her if she has aces and see how she reacts. Rec players are real bad at giving it away with how they act when you ask about the specific hand they're holding.

Good point.

So I ask, will you show me if I fold. And she happly says says, almost instantly. She looks super happy knowing that I could fold

Same answers?

How so? I often ask people about a hand I think they're holding but rarely get much useful info. If anything I suspect it puts them in a more communicative state of mind so when I start cutting out calling chips I might get a look off them.

Also, I don't think I could fold KK pre for only 100bb unless I knew it was someone (like some old nit) who's 3-bet range is AA/KK only.

I've folded KK pre only once to a 5-bet for some 225bb, and then gave the guy 10 bucks to make sure I was right (I was). I thought afterwards that it's hardly ever theoretically correct to fold KK pre (and it's happening so so rarely), so if you're going to do it, you'd better be right. In this hand, I think I'm just getting it in. I guess you still have the option of calling and playing postflop, but OOP it doesn't sound so great.

2 orbits isn't much info. There are some players that I would fold KK too, but 2 orbits isn't enough info to fold KK to anyone. Since we are out of position, i will 4bet all-in sometimes. Flatting and check raising all-in OTF is fine too.

Never folding KK pre to someone I've played with for all of 20 minutes. People do really stupid things.
