What's the right line for qq here? 1/2nl

Game is playing on the looser side. A lot of preflop raises.

Villain (260) UTG, is playing a lot of hands. Just called down a guy who'd been caught bluffing multiple times with bottom pair for a $50 bet on the river. More on the loose passive side with the hands I've seen him play.

Hero (350) BTN-hasnt had to show down many hands. Caught bluffing once but didn't have to show hand. Probably playing the fewest amount of hands at the table.

Preflop- villain opens for $12, MP calls, hero raises to $35 with qsqc, villain calls, MP folds

Flop (85)- 2c4h7h
Villain checks, hero bets 40, villain calls quickly

Turn (165)- Jc
Villain checks, hero checks

River (165)- Jd
Villain checks, hero bets 70, villain calls

I checked the turn for two reasons. I thought two jacks was a likely hand and I didn't think I could get three streets of value from 10's or 9's. What do you think is the best line to take in this hand?

1. the 3bet should be higher around 50

2. why did you check the turn? You should be going to value city right now

3. just because there's a hand that beats you, doesn't mean you should altar your play because he might have it since it's a tiny part of his overall range. I'm planning to get the money in by the river when he calls the flop.

^^ That

Like, think about it, 99 and TT are up near the top of his range here. If you can't get three streets from them then it means you should be triple barreling your entire range here.

Turn check is a mistake.

Agree with others that turn check is no bueno. I think with villain calling the 3! Pre and flop, he isn't putting you on a jack. Also a super specific range assigned to villain. Another's $40 on the turn lets us Spike the river for $100/$120?

Turn I'd bet small to keep in his pairs and set up a proper river shove (one that isnt 25% psb).

OTR i'd probably jam most of the time, our line literally makes zero sense + hearts & AK bricked, and he should hero very often with 88-1010 or even worse.

I would only altar my play if I were married to the hand.
