hi all this is my first post so im not sure if im doing it right but here goes, just after ppls opinion of a coupe of hands i noted down from live play 1/2 at crown casino melbourne.

hand #1

1/2 live no limit holdem 9 handed. eff stacks 100 standard 1/2 game alot of limp calling and 3betting mostly prems or decent pairs

v1 UTG- older rec player who can make a few good movers with SC's here and there.

v2 UTG+1 - older rec player as well over values bad broadway hands and wont laydown 2p + no matter what the board.

hero- BTN Kd4d

v1 raises to 5 , v2 calls, hero calls.

flop -10d Kc 5d .... v1 bets 5 , v2 calls , hero raises to 14 , both call.

turn- 8c , v1 checks , v2 checks pot is 60 hero bets 32 , v1 calls ,v2 folds

river Ad , v1 ships, hero obv calls with the nuts, but comments on previous streets?

Welcome to the forum, OP. Almost right, just don't give results. Take it up to the last decision point (or the one you're most interested in) and stop. If you tell people what you did or what was shown, it biases responses. In this case, the river decision is obvious, so I left it in.

With these 50BB effective stacks, this is a fold pre. Especially given the high Australian rake structure.

Flop raise is too small. Pot is somewhere around $30 (less rake) with your call, and you only raised $9 more. You have top pair and the second NFD. Shovel money in to this pot. Make it at least $20, and all of the FDs and good Ks will still likely call.

AP, turn and river are fine, imo.

1st things 1st, fold pre. No really, Fold Pre...

If you are going to raise the flop, which i can't say i like, you need to make it more. Like way more...

As played, I don't mind your turn bet, but what do you do if you get shoved on?

true , the rake is crazy here . well that all makes sense , more to think about next time i hit the tables

yes true , not a great hand for shallow stacks, i guess it if i am to hit my flush im better having more money in the pot . if i got shoved on i would of had to fold for sure, however i was confident i wouldnt get shoved on as both players were quite passive .
