What should Villian do here?? What should Villian do here??

Villians possible perspective:

Hero has been TAG for most of the match but, has gradually been leaning towards a more LAGy game. Has been making thin value bets against no-regs with top pair and weak kicker. Min-raised several flops with no show down verification...possibly stealing? Have seen him raise a couple of occasions pre-flop but, when 3-bet, hasn't called..

Hero has seen me win 2 pots in the past few hours with pp Aces. Hero probably views me as TAG. I have shown down nothing but good hands. I have had to rebuy once because somebody got their river card...That was over two hours ago...
1-2 game
Hero stack at 320
Villian stack at 315
2 limpers
Hero in MP raises to 17
Villian in SB looks down at AA and raises to 40
Hero makes a fairly quick call
Pot(86)
Flop(8J9)
Villian bets 60
Hero tanks for 30 seconds and goes all-in...
What would you do in Villians shoes here?
If this was a good/bat post please tell me so, I can make a better one in the future, thanks....Also, I know I'm the hero here....just looking for some perspective.

Pretty sure this is gonna get locked, but I would call with Aces here.

You didn't flat call my SB 3-bet with T7, if so...nice hand buddy. Your line looks like a made, but vulnerable hand that does not want to see any more cards. KK, QQ, TT, AJ, maybe AT are all in villains range.

Thanks Spex. That is cool that I made a line. I wasn't exactly sure why there was the min-raise 3-bet pre. I think Villian knew he could isolate me with a min raise pre..idk. Anyway, wouldn't the strong overbet flop raise be indicative of a set, 2pair, or made straight? Is the Villian "pot commited" here?

So if I'm V I think I'm up against JJ-QQ, AQ/AKss. Period.

I'm Slightly better than flipping 2/3 of your range. Even adding 99 and weighting JJ slightly heavier cause LLSNL players love to bomb JJ pre, I'm going to GII here.

If I hold As, I can find a fold. DUCY?

Yes villain is pot committed. Does villain have reason to believe that you'll raise/call with QT, T7, J8, J9, or 89? Even if some of those hands are in there, he doesn't have terrible equity against those hands because of counterfiet possibilities.

Your value range is very very very very strong tilted towards over pairs and sets. There are way more combos of QQ+, and TT, than there are of 88, JJ, and 99. WIth one pot-sized bet left after you raise his 60, plus the fact that you have a pretty solid bluff range on this board....it's time to get the money in.

Good point. It narrows the "hero's" bluff range considerably by denying the nut flush draw.

I'm pretty much snap calling here with AA.

SPR 4:1 on a draw heavey board in a 3bet pot. Yeah, I'm getting it in 100% of the time.

In general we discourage (in fact expicitly say don't do it) for posting hands from villain perspective, as we never know what they are thinking. We don't know if they are even thinking about our cards, or just thinking "hum dum, i have Ace! Get it in!"

When you have a chance, try and read the posts about good hand formatting and how to contruct a good post. They will help you to get the best feed back possible.

Good luck.
