What to do What to do

I play in house games that are super loose. I mean every pot is multiway even when raised to 7bb or higher. Players play atc. I just can't seem to come out when I am ahead and betting for value. I know the variance and such. It just doesn't seem like I can run well enough to beat this game. There are maybe 2 players that are thinkers the rest are just seeing a flop and not folding after. It's like if u don't hit with your AK then u might as well check and fold. I know I have not played every situation perfect in these games. I watch and it just baffles me to see some of these showdowns. I lost my last 300 last night of my roll to q5 with a 4 bet. I am gonna try and become better until I get my roll back. What do I do when I return? What helps u run good in these types of games? I think this game is beatable if your big hands hold just seems like mine haven't for the month.

when you don't hit with ak you should usually check and fold

When you miss, check fold

When you hit, value bet big

Eventually, if they start folding with this strategy, then you can start cbetting good boards and playing more poker

Find a different game until you can handle the variance. Play your handa straight forward for value and expect to lose to weird hands if you don't have the nuts.

There are no other games that are different. I expect the variance. Just frustrating to be on the losing end of it

OP, check out this thread on the same concept.

Basic notion: These games are swingy, but super profitable. You just have to pump up the pot when you're ahead of their ranges (often preflop) and check/fold when you aren't (often post-flop if the flop didn't hit you).
