1/3, 550eff. Villain and hero know each other pretty well. Villain is a pretty good, very aggressive player who's not afraid to put in lots of money when he thinks he's good or thinks his villain will fold. However, he sometimes gambles a bit too much. Knows hero is a tight solid player and usually doesn't get too out of line when playing with him, so it's hard to say exactly when and with what he'll raise me.

Also note, there is a player at the table who is raising almost every hand and putting in lots of blinds raises pre, so there's a lot of limp/reraising happening. Thus villain's UTG limping range is uncapped, since this hand just happened to limp around.

Limps to hero in SB with 52, hero completes, BB checks.

Flop (18), 6 way: 52K

Hero leads 20, villain raises to 60, all others fold. Raise is weird since his value range is so small. KK is still possible. 55/22 unlikely. No two pairs. So it looks like mostly draws. Whether or not villain would raise a K (AK, KQ) is unclear to me.

Hero calls.

Turn (140): 6

Hero checks. Villain bets 85. Hero calls.

River (300): A

Hero checks, villain takes his time thinking which is nothing unusual, then goes all in, hero...?

It's kind of hard to fold. Almost nothing got there. 34 is not likely UTG at all, especially when a raise is expected. Sets are unlikely. AK is now winning but idk if it's a raise one the flop (I wouldn't raise with it there anyway).

On the other hand, though I know villain is capable of making big bluffs, I've never caught him bluffing ME, though I've certainly suspected it.

As played I think river is a fold. You only beat a missed FD as even a bare AK got there against you.

Looking back on the hand I think I like raise/GII on the flop. We are only really behind KK and I think hands like pair+FD are a big part of Villains range.

What if flop was Ks5s2c ?? I actually think it was and messed it up when posting, though I'm not 100%

If I 3bet I'm basically repping a set -- can I get called by draws? Idk, maybe -- I guess it's hard for me to be beat here, raising sure makes it easier to play... If K+FD is possible on flop then I think I agree. If not, though?

52s is just way too weak a hand to be completing, imo, due to it's high RIO and being OOP.

And here is a classic RIO situation, and OOP to boot. I probably wouldn't have bet so much on the flop, probably just planning on bet/folding slightly smaller on 3 streets unless the board got ******ed. As played, I'd just nit fold to the flop raise. I mean, what's our plan? Just hope he starts giving up in position? That ain't going to happen. So what now, just start calling down for huge stacks and hope we're best? No thanks.

FWIW, the turn/river we should have seen coming from a mile away. If we didn't know exactly what we were going to do there, then we're much better off simply mucking the flop.

ETA: Also keep in mind that the earlier EP this Villain is, the easier the flop fold is. This is an eleventeen way pot, he's really getting super creative in EP with the world still to act behind him?
