9 Handed Table

Relevant Players:
Hero UTG: ~450
V1 MP: ~375
V2 Button: ~350

Hero Opens QJhh to 7.
Gets Called in 4 spots.

Flop: (38 pot)
Th9h6.

Cbet of 20. V1 and V2 call.

Hero-> Looks like Internet Kid
V1 -> Internet Kid clearly.
V2 -> Thinking late 20s probably does not play on internet but clearly not terribad.

Turn: 7h. (98 pot)

Here is where it gets interesting.
I take what is probably a nonstandard line -> Hero Checks, V1 checks, V2 barrels 35. Hero Flats. V1 raises to 125. V2 Folds. Hero Calls.

River: Jx (383 pot)

Hero checks. V1 jams 215.

Hero: ??

Thanks for your feedback in advance guys

Aside from just what your river decision would be, it would be great to get your opinions on the following:

1) Opinion on checking turn. I imagine that responses are going to be weighted towards always barrel (bad not to 2 barrel as you lose value from sets/straights/AhX)

2) Villain's range when he check/squeezes.

Thanks!!

Against "internet kid" and as played I'm generally calling and happy about it.
You need to call 215 to win 598 so you only need to have the best hand 26.4% of the time. This player archetype can take that line with much less than KhXh or AhXh. With the line played this way, Villain can take this line with any flush, and maybe even some straights. Not to mention this hand was played in a strange way and that could induce all kinds of weird things.

All these things considered, I'm calling without a rock solid read that suggests otherwise.

1+2) Being oop with several players behind you who are likely pretty aggressive, I like checking the turn actually. And the action comes strong and Villain probably has a flush, AhX, a straight, or some combo draw, and possibly even air if that's his MO.

Against that range, I like flatting because he'll probably be the type to barrel again with this whole range on blank rivers. I don't like jamming as much because it allows him to fold his air, straights, small flushes, while calling with KhXh and AhXh and possibly call with AhX anyway since the match is close for him. This allows him to get away from the hands he's crushing you with and calling with the ones that crush you.

So I'd say interesting hand, but NH if he spewed into you. If he did have a one of the two higher flushes, I wouldn't feel too bad. I'd still call and feel good about it.

PM with the hand result if you don't mind

Def snap call
Your hand looks a lot more like AA-QQ with a heart that didn't want to give up on the turn.
He can jam enough worse flushes for value here often enough for you to be good.

Agreed. Snap call. You didn't play this hand to turn the flush and then muck it. I don't mind the chk on the turn. V1 can easily have turned the straight. Yes, he could definitely have a higher flush than you, but why would he shove the river instead of make another strong value bet? Sounds like he's simply trying to represent the flush when he probably simply has the straight instead.

easy call vs descrobed villain

also raise more pre unless the standard raise is 6-8 where youre playing

1/2 games aroundhere i raise to 10-12 depending on table with 0 limpers

i would bet 55% pot on the turn and get it in personally

but youre line is fine if you feel it will be hard to get paid if yo double barrel

Thanks for the FB guys. I like the Dirty313's play of double barrel get-it-in. As played, I called, villain showed up with A3hh. Very weird altogether I know...
