villian is new at the table played a few hands making unorthadox plays.
villian opens in mp to 15$ im on button with ajo and 3 bet to 60. villan flats.

flop 4s4c5d villan lead jams for 140$ what is he doing this with? dont think he does this wiht aq or better. only hand i could see him doing this with is pocket 66-88 but dont think he would call off 35%of stack to set mine? whats optimal here feel like im good here decent amount??

im saying i dont think he does this line with those hands because he only gets action when hes crushed. only hands that make sense are bluffs why would u jam 66-88 when same thing only get a call when beat?

As Samo said, welcome to the forum. I suggest reading the threads that are stuck at the top of the forum page (known as stickies).

While I agree he isn't doing this quads or even AA, it doesn't matter. You can't beat his bluffing range. So you fold.

As to why he does this, who knows for sure. Without more information, there's no way to tell. At low stakes, you should expect people to make dumb mistakes. That's how you make money.

Pretty much what Venice and Samo said.

This read tells us very little:
"villian is new at the table played a few hands making unorthadox plays."
If he raised the last 6 hands and went allin every hand then you might be ahead of his range but you haven't told us that so presumably he has 5x or better.

Secondly, when the guy only starts the hand with 100bb he's typically not deep enough to profitably 3bet light preflop and then outplay him post flop. And if you thought he was weak passive enough to allow you to easily outplay him, then why not just raise it to 40 rather than raising to 4 times his initial open?

Maybe he suspects hero is reraising him light. Or maybe he just thinks most raises are AK or AQ. Either way, it doesn't really mattter because players at this level would normally be doing this with 5x or better.

Against villain you should not be raising AJo or 3 betting AJo with your stack size in the first place. Why? Villain can call your 3 bet with a much wider range and take advantage of you on non over card boards such as the one you posted above. Lastly, villian can have a set here and a jam is such a weird play but can get Ax and over pairs to call if you're a level one thinker at 1/2 stakes.

Technically speaking, he can only have a boat or trips. A set is when you make 3-of-a-kind holding a pocket pair.

You are correct. All I saw was 3 bet w/AJo off and it sent me crazy given the stack sizes -_-.
