Villain is polar on the river, air or nuts? Villain is polar on the river, air or nuts?

Hey guys, about a year ago I was living in this thread, then I started a FT job, but now I'm back.

Potawatomi, 1/2.

Villain 1: Folds early, but him being in the pot may affect Villain 2. He's youngest at the table I think, 22-24 yrs, very tight pre and only even somewhat aggressive post with a serious holding.

Villain 2: Only guy at the table I'm giving respect, a regular, 25 yrs, white. Unless most 1/2 guys have the nuts, they'll go bet bet check, this guy went bet bet bet with just top pair Q kicker and got what I considered serious value with just 1 pair, around a $200 pot.

I over limped pre with KJo (I know it's better to raise to iso or just fold, I haven't played in a year, the later streets are more important.) About 5 of us to the flop.

Villain 2 is in the blinds, Villain 1 is in EP, I'm in mid-late

Flop: J 8 6 ($10)
Villain 2 checks, Villain 1 bets 5, I call, Villain 2 calls (the other limpers folded along the way)

Turn: J 8 6 5 ($25)
Villain 2 checks, Villain 1 bets 10, I call, Villain 2 check-raises to 40.

I know a turn c/r is a monster at 1/2, but what can he have besides some 2pair combo out of the blinds? And this guy was thinking enough that he's just muck J5, J6, 85 pre. I thought it looked like just aggression to take this decent-sized pot after weak flop and turn bets by Villain 1 and calls by me, neither of us showing strength. I called, intending to call around $50 on the river if the right river cards came.

River: J 8 6 5 6 ($115)
Villain 2 leads for $100.

I had real trouble putting him on a hand, and I also counterfeited his 85 if he did play it. Clubs didn't get there although I don't think he'd play the draw like that. He was stealing tons of pots on the turn after all flop checks, this was a little different with the c/r though. The near-pot-sized bet I think is more of a bluff than a value bet. He was getting solid value often, but this seemed a little higher than usual.
I eventually figured just let this go, the table was awful. I turned $300 into $600 and after a few late draws missed left with $500. Just didn't seem worth it based on how awful the other 7 guys were. But I want to know how many of you think he had air vs a hand. And if he had a hand what are you putting him on.

JJ? Hard to really say what he might have with so many 6s in the deck.

Fold pre. Fold to turn c/r. Fold river.

I think he has you beat here. 97 comes to mind, 86, 88, JJ even AJ on the thin value side.

Lotta hands that crush you and obv some missed flush draws(how often does he take this line on turn and river with missed flush? Not that often I would think) assuming that last 6 isn't a club.

Actually hadn't considered 97, I don't know why. That makes a lot of sense though. 88 AJ JJ he's def raising pre, he doesn't mind that he's oop against these old guys.
