Betting for protection/equity denial to overcards. Around half pot is good. Depending on who calls us we can range them more properly and use that information to navigate better on future streets.

For example if the BB calls i would put more 5x and flushdraws in his range and continue betting on more turncards compared to if the CO calls us.

There's around a 70% chance one of them has a J if we give them any random two cards (and their actual ranges will be weighted toward more face cards, so probably significantly higher than this). I'm OK checking and perhaps calling one bet on a later street depending on the player and sizing and other action ahead of me. But I'm mostly done with this hand after we go five ways to the flop.

I think sdfsgf read the probability backwards, it's 70% none of them has a jack if they have any two random cards.

I'm still being careful. The ranges for calling an UTG open but not reraising should be weighted towards jacks and pairs. 4 opponents means a bloated pot and I don't want to invest much money. It is too likely that somebody does beat hero for pushing hard to be profitable.

I would bet $50 on the flop around half the time and see what happens. I would be happy if everybody folds. If I don't get folds I'm mostly aiming to keep the pot small after that. If I don't bet flop and nobody else does and the turn isn't a club then I would bet $50 at that point.

Whoops, you're right.

Another metagame reason I don't like betting here is that because we're the PFR, everyone expects us to bet regardless of whether we connect, and they're probably (imo correctly) more likely to peel a bet from us compared to any other player.

+1

QQ+ would have 3 bet pf and it is hard to hit a paired board.

Half pot is way too big. I wouldn’t go more than $25.

Would you bet at 100% frequency?

I’d probably always bet this hand but not my whole range 5 ways.

I'm betting pretty small here, 1/3 maybe even down to 1/5 pot. Your never getting bluff raised here against loose passives and there is so much air that gets insta mucked we can thin out the pack and still get value from random 5's club draws or over cards.

If you're going to bet, bet like 1/3 pot. I'm probably just checking 5 ways though.
