Had a frustrating day and am wondering on a couple of spots where I need to get value but I feel I am missing by playing too fast. Also, in general, wondering overall about play with big hands post?

Hand 1
Only at table for a couple hands so no reads other than physical appearance. Villain 1 is young, headphones, with about 700. Villain 2 is older, prob 60s, seemingly straight forward with about 150. Hero starts with 300.

Hero raises to 15 with 99s from EP. Villain 1 calls from CO, Villain 2 calls from BB.

Flop (46)- 9,9,6 with two hears
Villain 1 checks, Hero bets 20?

Hand 2
Villain1- older, prob mid 60s. Has bought in for 100 about 6 times over the course of 5 hours. Has generally overbet when he doesn't have it and bets small when he does. Seen this a couple of times during play

Villain 2- played one hand. Opened Q10ss to 10, villain who was playing last hand shoves for 100 with 44s, she calls and does not get there, rebuys for 100

Villains 1 and 2- 100 each, hero covers

Villain 1 opens to 10 from button, I call with 99s from SB, Villain 2 calls from BB. Think I would normally 3 bet here but didn't this time.

Flop (30)- 9, 8, 6 with 2 hearts.
Villain 2 leads for 15, Villain 1 raises to 45, Hero?

First hand is fine, I bet the flop too with a FD and straight draw out there, plus other PPs may still call. Second hand I shove flop if they only have $100 each

More or less agree

hand 1, i'm fine with a check and I'm fine leading out but I would have led out for $15 which was the exact same size as your preflop raise. Psychologically, I think villains are more likely to call that with air to float/steal than $20 since the same preflop bet looks like a standard c-bet. Not to say $20 doesn't either, just sayin

hand two, yeah, if they have 100 behind you can just shove flop, the raiser will definitely call and since it is so wet and drawy, all kinds of hands can/will call

Hand 2 just shove to price the draws, hand one I think u should always be checking and letting them catch up as you has the super nuts and can't lose. No one is calling a bet without a pocket pair as you hold the deck in your hand. Although there are times when you may have over aggressive Vs that will try to steal the pot or raise when they sense weakness.
