Turning KK into a bluff Turning KK into a bluff

Nh op... I'm going to go against the current here and recognize (1) that you correctly perceived villain's river bet as being stronger than KK but weaker than AK, (2) you recognized that going into river, that AK can still be in your range, and (3) you were correct in believing that this particular villain was capable of folding sets... So if you felt really confident about all of this, I don't *completely* hate it.

I think given all of the above, that if you wanted to do this, you should have at least bet a bit more. You'll still get crying calls even when they want to fold... Also, you can't just rep the nuts every time - or you will get caught sooner rather than later. I have bluffed off stacks too many times, and have found myself in spots like these getting called much lighter than expected. It really comes down to knowing well what your current image is, and knowing your villains too.

And it shouldn't esepcially when villains are at the top of their range. I would have called pretty quickly with 1010 and I've been a consistent winner at 1/3 and 2/5 for years. You got lucky. He's probably under rolled.

Raise more pre, 4bet pre, flop/turn are fine as played, river is meh. I probably bet/fold like 35% of pot. Looking to get value from AJ/AQ type hands. After you check river I like calling

If you're going to raise river, shove it all in there. Only chance you have of folding a hand that beats you.

Lots of mistakes in this hand my friend.

no one folds 2p+ in 1/2nlh. i'd just call the $65 on the river. raise seems like spew.

raise bigger pre and 4bet almost always. you don't have to worry about being very balanced at 1/2 with a decent sized player pool. just go for value.

This is just crazy fron your villan, I can't imagine a single player I have played with making that fold...
Imagine if you folded a set everytime there was a 3card straight out there....
