£1/2 at the Vic, London

V1, SB, mid 40s White male, has 3 bet once pre flop (I folded, he was IP), haven't seen any show downs from him yet, only been on table about an hour, 400 behind

V2, BB, young Asian guy, went all in for 150 versus my 3bet 2 hands ago, I had AK he had AJ, my hand was good, 28 behind

Hero, had played about 20% of pots so far, open raising most times and c-betting, not shown any hands except AK above, folded once to reraise against V1 on the turn when I was pre flop aggressor, HJ with 320 behind

I make it 10 to play with 9cTc, folds to V1 who raised to 35. V2 goes all in. I call as I figure im getting decent odds and am in position. Maybe a bit wide but the call from v2 edges me to call.

Pot 98

Flop Kx Jc 5c

V1 checks, I check.

Turn Qx

Villain bets 60, I call

Pot 218

River Jx

Villain bets 80

Hero? And thoughts on all streets?

I still wonder whether the pre flop call is a good move, and also whether I should be raising on the turn?

The extra money when V2 shoves doesn't really help you in this situation. You get extra pot odds but it's now a protected pot, you have to hit the best hand vs V2 to win the main pot. You not really deep enough, so folding is best.

As played, flop check with the second best hand but a huge draw is fine. I would bet if it wasn't a protected pot. Raise turn, I think you can get away with $150 here. I would go more if deeper but your blocking flush draws so that isn't a huge concern. You mostly need to charge AX which is now drawing to a higher straight but only has 3 outs.

River, having failed to raise turn I think flat call is best. Not much you beat will call a raise on the paired board.

Pretty easy fold PF IMO. The PF 3-bet represents a big hand and it's best not to pay villain off. Also, your potential straight and flush draws have less value when you're facing a 3-bet because you'll face more bets on the flop, which makes it more expensive to chase draws and means you'll often be folding backdoor draws before you get to even see the turn.

I'd raise the turn. With all the big cards out there, I'd hope that villain hit something and pays me off. Also, I'd want to build the pot and stack villain. It's much tougher to do that if I just call the turn. By raising the turn you give yourself the option to shove the river if you want to.

I would want the stacks to be $500+ deep in order to be calling the 3-bet with T9s. You're just not deep enough to be sticking in another $25 (even with position).

Raise the turn for value. As played, just call the river.

the calls close but when you call it also puts u on the range your actually on. its interesting looks like he had QQ imo. betting the flop puts pressure on non Kx hands. there's a lot of good turn barrel cards to. id be folding the river as played. I like raising the turn to for value and building the pot for a shovey on the river. with the pot being bigger to he wouldd have to shove his remaining 200 into the 400ish pot? at that point on the river and I just don't think a 40ish white dude would bluff there lol. but he would always bet for value and call with 2 pair set type hands at least 1 street. vs a more agro player id just flat especially with the flush blockers.
