Effective stacks 225. Villain is young 30's male. Ive seen him a couple times but don't know how he plays.

Hero overlimps A7ss. Villain limps button.

Pot:12.

Flop 257r.

Checks to hero who bets 10. Villain raises to 25 hero calls.

Turn 9. Hero checks v checks.

River 7.

Hero checks, villain bets 25. Hero raises to 60, villain jams.

Pretty small stacks for a 2-5 game?

Going to start of with since you didn't raise and he's in the BB unless you're miss Cleo he could have AATC, I think premium hands 10+/AQ-AK would have raised but he could have a monster though unlikely I would say 20 percent of the time he has a premium hand.

Because you didn't raise his range is kind of wide open. He could have 75 72 68- you already know this though. What do beat that isn't premium? Not much besides a bluff, the check in turn looks like he was letting you catch up, anyways you have little information, you're getting 3.6-1 being what??? 4-1 dog at the least? 99-55-22-68-72-57-79 you're crushed you beat any premium hand but you don't know much about the player so.... I sigh and fold like a pussy.....

So are you raise folding the river or just flatting his smallish bet? I suppose we could lead river but I felt like he's going to bet worse 7's and two pair and then I can raise and get more. It also lets him bluff.

Yes raise folding because you kind of played your 7 face up

Would have checked called any mid sized bets instead of betting and getting into this spot

Think of it from his eyes you either have an unmade bluff, a seven or and over pair is he going to raise OTT on 1/3 chance for all his money's???

3bets on the river are pretty much always nutted hands.
