I sit with 240 bb and 8x AJ on the CO with 3 limpers in the flop, I end up with one caller about 110bb deep who was the last limper in the crew. He is a fairly good player of what I have seen, he knows pot odds and likes to get the last bet in. He is somewhat tricky, but lost a buyin recently. He loves to see flops with alot of speculative hands. He checkcalled my cbet once with 75 on A72rainbow
I think my image at this point was position aware and pretty solid. I have been valuebetting second pairs but I also was caught bluffing on the hand above.

20bb to the flop:

Jh3h9
Now he bets like 13 bb, my instant reaction is to raise and protect my hand against the draws, but after contemplating this for a while I feel like what do I do if he 3bets allin.
If I raise I will make him lay down many made hands that is worse than mine, that he might wanna continue with if I just call, and if he ships it in I wont really know where Im at. He might also put me on a draw and barrel alot of turns. I decide to take a more passive approach and just call and evaluate the next street. If a Q or a heart falls I will consider folding other scary cards Im thinking of maybe herocalling.

46bb to the turn which brings a miracle (non heart) J

He leads for 22 bb and at this point there will be 90bb in the pot if i call so I figure I can aswell put the rest in here.

Is this line just totally awkward and insane?

Your hand hasn't improved, unless he l/c with QQ+. Not likely.

Therefore, I'm happy to call this. If he can't beat trip jacks, he's folding to your shove. You're not giving him odds with a shove for his draw, so he'll fold. Obviously if he has a FH, he's calling.

On the river if you think you're ahead, you can get it in at that point.

I basically took TT+ and AQ+ out of his range on the preflop action.
So yeah, i pretty much know its few hands he will call me with that I beat, unless he has the case jack obviously.
Is it ok though to let the flushdraws see another card? and how much can I call the river if a heart comes?

Were you playing with 2 decks?

I think I like a flat call here. Bettor is not betting out into you with a flush draw much of the time when the board pairs. Only hands you getting to fold are hands you beat or maybe a crying call from QJ/JT or KJ.

Call turn, value bet river if checked to.
