Effective stacks about 125 BB

Full ring- folds around to CO who limps, BU Fold, SB limps, Hero in BB with AJ raises to $13. Call, Call

Flop
J53
SB check, Hero Bets $27, CO fold, SB Call

Turn
2
SB Leads for $60, Hero???

Villain older guy who seemed to play fairly tight but showed down one hand where he turned AQ into a bluff when he whiffed. $93 pot on the turn and i need to call of $60 to win $153, but I have no clubs, I'm behind sets that might play like this or weaker flushes. I'm assuming nut flushes would c/r rather than lead. I have about 100 BB effective behind after calling flop, turn bet is for 30 BB and calling leaves me open to a river jam where I can't really call off. What have you guys noticed about past experiences with turn donk leads on similar board textures?

The pre-flop raise to $13 is too small. Not terrible, but I'd go ~$16-$18.

Flop bet and sizing look good.

You can just fold the turn.

I think you can just fold the turn to be honest. It's possible he has like KcJd or whatever, and you could consider calling with the plan to fold to any reasonable river bet, but I think just folding the turn is fine. When you bet the flop, you're getting value primarily from worse Jx and from clubs. Clubs improved on the turn, and I don't think Jx leads.

I think fold. Most players would check the flush here for the check raise and then bet river if it checks through or if you call. But I don't want to call two streets here.

Just knuckle it pre-flop. As played, your SPR was too high, so if you weren't gonna raise to like $18-$20, then just check and see a flop. Either option is fine, but anything in between really isn't. Just bad planning from the start.

As you can see, you ran out of room to maneuver and have to fold a pretty good hand. It's really hard to comment other than that since this hand should have played out way differently.

Ill make sure to make my raise size larger next time. Ya, I ended up folding to the turn bet as I was expecting a river bet as well. Thanks guys

I think your preflop raise is fine. On the turn if villain is tight just fold

Your pre-flop raise size is fine.

Easy fold on the turn. You block hands that you want to call (those containing a jack) and have no blockers against flush draws.

Hand played perfectly, only the shuffler is to blame for this outcome, if you folded the turn.

agreed, fold, classic don't go broke with one pair.

Snap fold vs old man,if he continues to donk when draws hit then play back until then..they're not playing back at you.
