$1/2

I just sit down at the table and observe the second half of a hand V is involved in. There's about $40 in the pot and 3 players in the hand. The board is KT76 rainbow. UTG bets $30. V raises to $100 from MP. CO cold calls. UTG folds. River is a 2. V puts CO all-in with a $150 river bet. CO calls. V shows KJo to take the pot.

V is a 35 y/o Indian guy with a mountain of chips in front of him. The only read I have on him is the partial hand from above. This hand took place two hands later:

$300 effective stacks. V covers.

Pre-flop
V limps UTG
Hero raises to $15 from UTG+1 with AK
5 other callers
V calls

Flop ($100)
Q72
Checks around

Turn ($100)
K
V bets $90
Hero calls

River ($280)
2
V shoves for $195
Hero?

would help to know what the river card is.

Regardless, I think if were calling the turn here, we have to call most rivers with all but the most disgusting cards like J. Especially given the hand above where V proves to us that he overvalues TP-meh kicker type hands.

The hand basically plays itself pre and OTF - once we get 5 callers pre we have to basically nutmine or we valuetown ourselves. Hence, why I think the turn might actually be a fold. I mean, once V leads the turn is he really going to check the river and let us check behind? Do we really want to get stacks in in a 5-way raised pot on the river with just one pair?

My biggest leak is that im a calling station, so I call river as played and being honest with myself I play the same way and call turn and river at the table. But I think its -EV and the turn is a fold.

Jam turn. We already know he's aggro and will happily push stacks in with TP 3rd kicker at least, he's much more likely to give you no credit for a made hand after you check flop and turn brings a FD -- a common leak for aggro players is to overplay weaker hands because they assume they're ok if you're drawing. He could have worse Kx, Ax, JT, 98...

Call. Nh if he has KQ or 77. Looks like he can have KJ, KT, maybe random spazzes (esp. BDFD)
