Tptk facing aggression

1/2 7 handed. Entire table has been playing really snug except for one sun running whale who's actually losing for once.

Hero (UTG+1) been playing pretty tight. Built up a good stack from the whale. (Covers)

V: ($290) has also been minding his business. 3 bet me once and I folded pre. 3 bet from SB over a raise and two calls. All folded. He's been here for about 45 minutes. Haven't seen any of his hands. Doesn't seem to be out of line.

Pre: UTg limps. He's been a little more loose preflop but not fishy as far as I can tell. Hero looks down at AQ and makes it $10 (table standard). Folds to V on button. UTg calls.

Flop: QT7 ($33)
UTg checks. Hero bets $20. Btn calls. UTg folds.

Turn: 9 ($73)
I check. V bets $50. Hero? Hero ends up calling.

River: 8 ($173)
Hero checks. V bets $130. Hero??

Been wanting to check some more standard hands lately. Think I'm leaky.

Seems like a very trivial fold. Having trouble coming up with a hand that doesn't beat you. KQ or KT presumably check turn or river or both. Ummm.... nope. I got nothing. Even 76 managed to win.

Turn looks like a clear check call as well.

Re: Tptk facing aggression

I like folding River and turn depends how much he is betting his draws (if you know) - when a heart hits on the river Idk if he will call the ~35$ + bet it would require for your implied odds to call on the turn (if you assume he has you beat on the turn). Since he knows how to 3bet and he didn't from the button seems the middling cards smacked his range and he got a straight or little suited connectors made a flush. The fact you state it is a snug table just would make me want to wait for a better spot in general

Re: Tptk facing aggression

Turn is a call for me. Against a made flush we have 7 outs, so need to get 6:1 or so and make up a pot sized bet. That's close, but also worst case scenario. Often our trips or two pair outs are good, and we have 9 outs to hit a flush. Against T9 we have 14 outs and are basically getting direct odds to call. Every so often he's semi bluffing with a worse hand, like KhQx or QxJh and we're ahead.

River is a fold. At this point we really only beat a bluff (QJ is now ahead and KQ is probably checking behind) and no reason to think V is bluffing often enough to call a bet that's more than 2/3 pot. He needs to be bluffing about 30% of the time for us to be good.

Turn standard. River super interesting.

So V either has a SF, is a slick hand reader semibluffing JJh/max valuing riv against QQ+, or is suddenly a sick bastard hoping you don't have the Ah in hand.

It's quite an interesting spot given I don't really see a fourth option given his line/sizing/table history other than him spewing.

Re: Tptk facing aggression

I think a bare pair finds a check on one of the last 2 streets. Absent other reads, the river seems a clear fold. Ok with turn, but when I call here I'm looking to b/f to anything over .55/.6PSB, maybe even smaller.

Re: Tptk facing aggression

Go bigger preflop from early position over a limper.

Turn seems right. You're likely behind this particular villain, who doesn't get out of line. But you have outs.

River is an easy fold. You were behind on the turn and you didn't improve.

He appears to think the river was a heart.

50/130 are big bets on this runout, facing hero's line, w/o the Ah available. I'm not saying to call, but the hand is more interesting than it appears considering Vs sizing choices on the last two streets/value combos he can have.

No but the turn was, so he likely isn't pounding Jx this hard outside of some sick handreading, so he has a flush?? Would 87hh bet 130otr? perhaps, maybe he sucks. Just saying it isn't super straightforward and he's really repping a SF only whether he means to or not.

Dude just what. Villain's value bet is standard with a straight, much less a flush
