Hey guys,

This hand happened yesterday in my regular live game 1/2 NL

Eff stacks 450

Im in MP with AcQh and I make it 15 (pretty standard raise here). I get 4 callers, the first two callers are randoms from the casino basically playing ABC with a tendency to be a bit passive, the third caller is a reg who plays against me a lot, we know each other, he is a LAG, who doesnt hesitate to 3 barrel bluffs if the board helps or if you show weakness. Last big hand we were involved together few weeks ago, I check called 3 barrel with a TPWK until the river when he showed a busted flopped flush draw.

Flop : Ah 9h Ts

I bet 30 on a 60 pot. Everyone folds except V who calls.

Turn 6h

I check,he bets 80 I call.

River is 2s

I check again and he bets the pot.

Hero?

Thoughts?

Bet/fold turn. If called, check/call river.

As played, bet/fold river.

Turn check for pot control is fine. However, if you call the 80 bet into 120, you pretty much have to call the full pot on blank river as well.

When you call this turn, you should have some different rivers in mind that you might have to fold. If you call a healthy bet on a turn, but intend to fold to another healthy bet on a *blank* river, then just fold on the turn.

You want some strong top pair value in your check-call range, otherwise all of your checks are just too weak.

We have the 2nd nut draw. I'm not sure this is the time for pot control

I did this to see what he would do on the river after my call and due to the history we got (previous pot). Would he always continue his bluffs on any river card? No check behind/give up?

because we likely have the best hand, and a decent chance to improve to a really really awesome hand.

We should ask the dealer for a time-out so we can go get a shovel to help us put chips in the pot faster.

It is the turn, we only get one shot at the draw, and villain is repping the made flush despite our blocker. I’m not backing up the dumptruck just yet.

Standard. From your description of this player, he will barrel both streets for value or bluff. No way this river gets checked.
