2/3 $100 NL at Commerce

V1: UTG - $300. She's been playing loose aggressive and hitting several straights / flushes. She will open-raise rather than open-limp about 100% of the time, but will limp behind other limpers. I'm not sure if she has a different range UTG than from other spots.

V2: HJ - $95. She plays any two cards. Showed down 96o after raising pre-flop and calling a pre-flop raise. Showed down 74s from MP in a limped pot. She just re-bought recently. I've folded to her all-in on the river once and she showed a runner-runner straight. Most of her all-ins have been with a pair on the flop but she also calls liberally with draws.

Hero: $110 BB - Been aggressively putting the complete donks all-in. Won a PF all-in with KJs against 98s, another with JJ against an unknown hand. Lost a recent all-in with an overpair to a full house.

7 Handed. V1 raises to $10, V2 calls in HJ, Hero calls in the BB with KQ

Flop ($26):
K74

Hero checks, V1 bets $15, V2 raises to $35. Hero?

Is this a $100 maximum BI for this 2/3 NL game? If so, *pukes in mouth*.

I would probably nit fold preflop until at least I get a better handle on UTG's opening range. Our hand really isn't doing that well against a typical UTG opening range as we're often dominated. Plus the pot isn't going to go very multiway (where there would be a good case for just playing our hand's multiway value and stacking some idiot trapped in the hand). The only moron trapped in the hand is short. Plus we're short, and putting in ~9% of our stack sorta sucks, especially OOP, especially since we're not going to make up that many bets postflop against hands like JJ on K/Q boards.

This is sorta the problem that results here. On the flop the SPR is 4, which simply means it will be incredibly easy to get stacks in over just 2 streets. Are we really considering folding a fairly big pot (compared to stacks) with TP2K on a drawy board here? I kinda don't think we can at this point. I probably shove and live with results.

You've given us no info on V2s postflop aggression. All we know is that all 2 pair combos are in her range. If she's aggressive this is a clear value ship. If she leans passive then fold.

Given the info I am inclined to think this is a slightly ahead or way behind spot and chuck it. We arent getting a great price and V1 could still have us beat.

I think this a fold on the flop.

Does v2 3 bet ak? If yes than I think this is a ship. Seems like a silly structure for a no limit game.

Anyone find any merit to 3 bet / call preflop...because I sorta do.

33bb shove fest. Folding is horrific.

/thread.

Play the 200nl 3/5 game or the 5/5 game instead.

You are wasting your life playing the smaller games at commerce.

The best advice is to not play poker in a 33BB game. I'll note the OP's location is in San Diego, so hopefully is not driving to play at the Commerce.

You're ahead of their ranges pf. It is a short stack game. This is a 3 bet to 40 or 50. If you had done this, there would be no decision on the flop.

After the first two mistakes, just fold. Get up from the table and leave. This game is for gamblers, not poker players. With the $4 drop, your odds are better at blackjack.

I personally love this game at the Commerce.

Villains here are as likely to be playing light as to be holding "the goods".

But I've learned the hard way that it is pretty unlikely they BOTH are bull****ting.

The pot will be large (for the stack sizes) but our hand is not.

Surely there is a better spot for us in this game to get it all in?

We can comfortably fold here, it's all one long session.

But if we want to play these cards on this hand in this position, re-raise pre, shove the flop, ride the variance train and take our chances.

If V1 opens 100%, that means she opens UTG 100%. Have you seen any of these hands?

I'm either re-raising pre or folding.

As played, I'm just getting it in. We're too short to play this hand and fold on this flop against these players.
