I would flat them to bring H along if there is any chance H will fold to a raise. Best scenario, H will shove, which he will do if he's playing almost anyone in this thread.

(I explained in more detail earlier, but this is basically it.)

I think I'd normally fold here but doing some quick range evaluation is telling me we should probably be shipping this.

How does our decision change if we are 1k effective instead of 450 left?

The V in this hand is someone I talk poker with and consider him a friend. We have not played together recently until this session, but I know he is a solid, winning player at 2/5. While the board is wet, what kind of draws would he have? What would he really be calling with from EP?

I truly felt his range was all sets and hands like 1010-JJ, maybe QQ but he would probably be 3 betting QQ and definitely KK vs the tilted guy. So this puts his range a bit closer to sets, right?

He could just as easily be calling with overpairs and sets. If he has a set, just calling is a great way to disguise it and get me to ship. If he ships himself, I am able to fold my AA very easily. I think he knows me well enough to know this. Of course this is in retrospect, but this is what makes the hand tough.

Ok, so you will easily fold AA if he ships because he has the nuts, but you also easily fold AA if he calls because he has the nuts. If he has a set "calling is a great way to disguise it", yet you are squarely putting him on sets, so apparently it's not so disguised. Do you see a problem here? Thing is we need history with showdowns and hand examples to get a better idea of how he plays. I'm sorry but I'm not taking your word for it until you provide proof in the form of winnings or hands you have seen him play.

So, if he does not have a set here then he's a HUGE ****** fish and you need to toss out everything you think you know about him immediately. If he he does have a set then he's a marginal winner for getting in a spot like this to begin with, and I'm not folding AA to marginal winners. There's just no scenario here where he's earned the respect to fold these hands in these situations.

edit: he also should not be turning up with TT/JJ
