Hey guys,

Want to know what you all would do in this situation.

V1, UTG +1 - Short stack middle aged white guy, just lost about $200 last pot. ($56)

V2, UTG +3 - 20-25 year old guy, has me covered - seems kinda splashy. (~$500)

Hero, Small Blind - Late thirties white guy. Sat down about 1.5 orbits ago, only played 3 hands so far 2 wins, 1 fold, no showdowns. ($350)

UTG folds, V1 limps for $2, folds to V2 who makes it $15, folds around to hero who calls with KJ. Big Blind folds, V1 calls. Pot size is $47.

Flop comes: KJT - giving hero TTP.

Hero checks, V1 goes all in for $41, V2 thinks for a second, then flats, action now to Hero with $41 to call and $129 in the pot.

What does 2+2 do here?

$160-$200

Any turn that isn't an A, Q, 9, or , and the rest goes in

+1

I would fold preflop though.

Let's think about ranges.

It's such a wet flop that you'd have to think that a premium made hand (straight or set) would have raised to protect their equity from a flush. So that puts them more likely on decent pair or a draw. Possible a combo (eg KQ, AJ). Given that, you want to bet enough to set up a shove on a brick turn (not that there are a lot of bricks). I'd say to make it about 160.

The aspect of this I hate is if you see a scare card OTT. Some are so bad that we could c/f (9 Q) - but a card like 9 would be very tough to c/f

Thanks guys. I shoved and V2 tanked for 2-3 minutes and called with QQ hoping for the straight or set to hit.

Turn and river were low cards, but one was a heart.

V1 caught his flush and won the main pot for ~$120, I won the side pot for ~$600.

If you were V2 would you call that shove?

with no live reads on V2, I would shove. yes shove. after you call 41 the pot is going to be 170, meaning that any decent raise on a board this wet needs to be like 150 more, making you in the pot for at least 205, Of which you can never fold on the turn, so just shove.

if he has AQ, so be it, but most of the time he is going to have AA, AK, KQ, and QQ.
