Preflop: Hero is BTN with Ah8s
2 folds, MP3 raises to $12, CO folds, Hero calls $12, SB folds, BB calls $10

Flop: ($37) 6 of diamonds 7 of diamonds 8 of spades (3 players)
BB bets $15, MP3 calls $15, Hero calls $15

Turn: ($82) 3 of diamonds (3 players)
BB checks, MP3 bets $22, Hero calls $22, BB folds

River: ($126) 2 of spades (2 players)
MP3 bets $50, Hero folds

Pf: I decide to play in position vs a weak opponents that played pretty loose and spews in many spots. He is winning and messing around.

flop: I almost folded the flop as the tight solid player leads out. But I thought I will reevaluate on the turn. I do not worry about MP, as he will call his entire range here and probably raise with his strong holdings.

turn: BB checks and MP bets. MP appears very bluffy and I decide to call not worrying anymore about BB who folds.

River: MP bets 50. after long consideration, I decided to fold.

Is it standard fold ?

Wrong forum but I wished I played against a guy who calls the whole way then folds when the river changes nothing.

I know people don't like to read it, but this is a fold pf. Don't play hands that have no straight nor flush possibilities just because they have an ace and you can "outplay" someone.

As played, you have TPTK and he's made it cheap to see a show down. As said above, if you're going to call the turn after a FD hits, then call the river.

You made mistakes in this hand.

-Fold A-8 to a raise (almost always)

-Dont attack bad players with bad hands
-you need better reads on villain, saying he is bad and loose doesnt help us understand situation. Is he aggro, passive (doubtful with this line)

-mostly we need to know your image?

If I sat down and watch this hand play out. I would instantly think you where the mark. You called a dominanted hand pre. Over call 2 players with position (not bad). Then call tiny turn bet to fold to a small river bet.

When attacking bad players do it with hands that can have them dominated. A-8 is a realley tough hand to play even if we flop top pair. It's very hard to win a big pot with it.

By bad loose player. I mean, raising a lot pre with strange sizings, calling 3bet oop with 97o. calling Cbets with any pairs and gut shots. He also have very strong physical tells. I think i can play A8 in position vs this opponent and be EV+. I might be wrong, not the dream spot for sure.

3bet might be the best option. But, I ve done it couple of hands before for value with JJ. So I elect to just call. I hate folding here vs this opponent. Again, I might be wrong.

Turn: I called with the clear intention to call on any blank river. But somehow, after tanking like a minute I elected to fold. Ultimately, I relied on physical tells.

Also about my image. I don t think this guy think at this level. Or he might think he can bluff me easier than others ? As the JJ hand, when he raise to 6, I reraise to 18, he calls. flop comes AQ7 rainbow. flop goes check check and I fold to his turn lead. Pretty sure he had an Ace. He might think I m easy money, 3betting pre and folding on the turn.
