1-2 Wednesday afternoon.

Villain...60+ passive...nittyish player...Raises AA and KK pre flop for 25 and thats it. With a caller bets 100 into the 50 ish pot. Limps a lot preflop...but tightens up if raised... Very passive if any threat...Have seen him check back two pair on the river...

Hero...running card dead for last couple of hours...had AA cracked by a lag tard...earlier... my few raises are getting respect. Don't even know of villain notices anything but his two cards....

Effective stacks over 200...

5 players limp including the villain...I'm in BB with K2o....

flop 6 players $11...after rake..
.
K 8 2 rainbow...

I bet out $10...villain calls and everyone else folds...

Turn 2 players $30..

T completing the rainbow...

I bet 25 villain calls...

River 80

A ....making the board K82TA...

Is there any point in betting this river...(Villain is so passive that if I check I can fold to any bet villain makes)...

Would he call flop with a hand below top pair? Would he call three barrels with K3-K9 on this board? If not it's probably time to check, a decent percentage of the kings in his range are ahead of you now.

I think I bet/fold every street against this guy. Although if he is really nitty and can fold weak Ks on the turn, I don't think I hate a turn check either.

I think we have to bet the river as he'll pay off a decent percentage of the time with KQ/KJ/etc. but he'll never bet these hands himself now that the A has hit. We can also feel totally comfortable in folding to a raise (heck, he probably just calls a lot of two pair hands that now beat us).

If his range is AK-KT it's 50/50 and there's no point in betting.

I bet/fold $50 to get value from K/Q and K/J....

If he has A/K or K/10, oh well, onto the next hand.

This villian could be what I call a "Call station nit."

They have tight limping/raising ranges, but once they get in a pot and hit their top pair/good kick, they can never fold it.

They're just a call station with a tight limping/raising range. They suck.

well counting combinations...(that get to the river)

that I beat
T8s =2
Kq = 8
Kj= 8

That beat me
AK = 6
Kt = 6

So its a bet if he calls with this range...(add in Kxs and it gets better...)

but if we discount the Kq and KJ when the A comes on the river...it can become a bad bet...

so the question is will he call a X$ bet with KQ KJ...(and maybe Kxs)...I guess it becomes what should the X$ bet be that he calls enough of these hands with...
