160 effective give or take. Villain bluff raised jammed earlier with like Q3 on a 7J4 board but he only had 65 left when he did it.

V limps, hero opens to 10 in sb with AKo. V calls.

Flop QQ4.

Hero checks, villain bets 15, hero check raises to 40 villain calls.

Turn ace. Check check.

River Q

Hero bets 40 villain jams for 120 total.

Easy call. We're usually chopping, occasionally losing, but even if we're never winning (and we are more often than losing, imo) we have 40%ish equity and your $80 call only represents 25% of the final pot.

I know they say "never call to chop," but in this case there are so few combos in his range with the case Q, and so many with random aces, it's actually the right call. Throw in some stupidly played PPs that "ZOMG I haz boat!" and you are laughing here.

On flop I don't like a c/r with AK. You have showdown value. You want to keep the spewy villain in the pot not turn your hand into a bluff.
Anyway, I would call as he obviously doesn't need a queen to do this.

Hero calls and gets shown quads. Really running bad this week.

Definitely not my typical line. He seemed to stab a lot with air so I thought I could check raise and get him to fold his equity unless he had 55-77, 44 or a Queen.

What do you think Villain's call of your flop check raise means? He almost has to have a Q here.

Don't c/r flop. As played, call river.

There are fewer combos of 44 but they exist. I also don't think he's pocket pairs to just this raise but I can't be sure.
