New to table no reads yet. $300 ef

Hero: Late 20s playing TAG.

V: 50s Asian guy. Loose/passive I think.

Limped in 5 places, I complete with
QT.. V is in BB and checks.

Flop ($12): QT2

I lead for $10. V calls, guy in MP covering both of us min raises to $20. I just call the raise (not sure what I was thinking). V now raises to $105. MP guy tanks forever and folds. I think he had a flush draw.

Hero?

Jam>Fold. We will have a PSB if we just call and we can't call/cf turn against a lose passive V so just GII on flop. If he has 22 then reload.

tough spot.

im FOLDING cause im a nit. he flatted OTT knowing some players are behind and raises big after the min raise and a call, line looks strong to me like he is protecting and charging the draws.

I'm just as nitty. I saved a lot of money when I started to follow this maxim: "Don't play a big pot without a good read". I think it's either Ed Miller or Bart Hanson, but I'm not sure.

Hero showed strength. MP showed strength. Still V is willing to re-raise? In an online game, this is an easy all-in. In a live game, I fold until I've got a better read on V. Enjoy my $12. Don't spend it all in one place.

Could be a squeeze no? ESPECIALLY if he puts initial raiser on draw

Given he limped and is in the big blind, (plus our cards) I figure his "strong" hand is far far more likely to be Q2, or T2 vs QQ, TT or 22. Maybe the only one I give partial credit for is 22, but there are just so many other combos out there.

Crying call.

I'll say it since nobody else will. Don't go broke in a limped pot without the nuts. What does hero beat? No way does V ever have Qx or a fd unless you've seen it in the past. Sorry, I'm not in the "give him your stack and reload group".

Hero jams. V's line makes no sense. Could be a worse two pair, FD or SD or combo draw. We can almost eliminate a set of Q's or T's.

I tank folded. He told me had had 22 later. I still feel like it was a bad fold though in the long run. More possibilities of Q2 and T2 in the BB than the 3 combos of 22 and I feel like I'm underrepped just flatting the $20.

What do you guys think about flatting the $20?

there is nothing we can do if he has deuces with these stacks. the problem is his range is so wide that we should feel pretty good about top two there.

I believe if you do a preview of your post it will not work.

The flatting is pretty bad. You're oop and there are a lot of bad cards in the deck for your hand. You're new to the table, so you can't reliably expect either villain to overplay one pair on the turn or fire a second barrel on the turn. I assume your plan was to call the $20, then donk the turn on most safe cards. But there are a lot of turn cards that will kill your action. Better off raising to $75 now, inviting the min-raiser to get cute with position.

22 is definitely in the BB's range, and if he was in any position other than the BB, I think I can find a fold here. But, not knowing whether he overvalues two pair, this fold would require one hell of a physical read. Like you said, there's more possible Q2s and 102s than 22s. If he thinks two pair is the nuts (and lots of rec 1/2 players do), then this is an ideal spot for you.
