1/2 $300 max buy-in. Sitting on $365, I cover all but the BB.

BB is very tight and appears to be competent. Others are typical 1/2 rec players.

I'm SB with Q T

EP raises to $7, 2 callers to me, I call, BB makes it $25 to go. Original raiser calls, MP calls, BTN folds, I <sigh> call.

($105) Flop: Q T 4

I check intending to x/r (does anybody lead out here?)

BB checks, original raiser bets $50, MP calls...Hero....

Does anyone not x/r. I have $340 behind and cover everyone but the BB. Shove or go $175 or so?

Just a sanity check.

I would lead out here probably most of the time. AP I think shove is correct. There’s a lot of money in the pot with a strong but vulnerable hand. Time to get your chips in.

Easy CR AI given stack sizes and relative position. Pot is little over $200 when it gets to you, so even if everyone else had $300, it's just a pot sized raise. Can do that with sets, FDs, OESDs, and top-two and be pretty balanced assuming you only have a few suited J9/KJ combos and aren't going crazy preflop with suited stuff.

The reason for checking the flop is that the BB is very often going to bet with AA/KK/AQ type hands when he has something he'll continue with, and you will occasionally trap additional money behind before springing the trap.

after x'ing flop, never not raising on this board; shove is fine given size of pot

I think shoving is better than raising to 175. Shoving lays your opponents 2:1, raising to 175 pot commits you OTT anyway.

Thanks for the responses. I did jam and was only called by MP with the shortest stack.

Often when reviewing my play I wonder if I might have left money on the table.

I asked about the $175 amount because that covered 2 of the 3 opponents (BB had me covered). I was concerned that by shoving I might have made his decision too easy.
