NL 1/2
Hero is on the button with 89 Hero has 180 bucks. I've been there for 30 minutes.
UTG makes it 7. He raises half the time he plays. He plays about 50% of hands. UTG+1 calls. Hero calls. UTG is a BG who's about 30. He's a nice guy and a gambler. He's got 250. UTG+1 is a 55 yo WG, very nitty post-flop and loose pre-flop. It's weird. He has 150.
POT $24
FLOP 789
UTG leads for 12, UTG+1 quickly calls.
HERO????????
What's best practice in this situation? I have top 2 on a rough board.

What is the nitty post guys aggression factor? Facing a half pot bet from a wide ranged gambler the nitty guy could have all sorts of hands we beat like a diamond draw or T9 or ton of other Tx. Folding is obviously out of the question and flatting in position misses tons of value when we're ahead and still leaves us in tough spots on the turn depending on the run out and action. We still have about 18% equity against the flopped straight, we block some sets and unblock most draws. I'd probably make it $50 and only pump the breaks if the nitty guy continues.

I love 3 betting pre to $30-$35. On the flop I raise to $60.

Great question, yeah, he's pretty low agg overall unless he has the absolute nuts and then it's on the river.

Raise 50 / get it in is the standard and best here.

Another good options is to call and look to get it in on clean turns. Re evaluate. That’s the second best nittier line.

I kind of wish i just called. I shoved and got called by both. To my amazement, UTG+1 just called UTG's 12 with J10 straight. He wasn't worried about the 2 diamonds at all as if a diamond came on the turn I'd have to shut down with J10.
