Say you have AK in EP... I find its really hard to isolate at this game... even a cold open raise to 25 gets 2/3/4 callers. So say you raise pre to 19 in ep... flop comes K92 with a fd. I would tend to lead out for about $40/$50? if called I would probably lead turn for about 60-85 and obv pot committed. Any thoughts?
Button with A8s, raise to 12, two callers. Flop comes K98 all of your suit. Checks to you.
Options - Check
- Min value bet... say 15
- Bet Pot, make it look like a Cbet...
I tend to like the second option... gets callers from fd's, top pairs, straight draws... possibly gets a raise from sets, two pairs.
I figure these are the general options when holding a large made hand
- trapping... I guess best to do oop and against aggressive players
- Overbet (or perceived overbet) - I think for casino players this can sometimes be a potsize bet in a raised pot.
- value bet - I guess just milking as much as you can on each street....
maybe 1/2 psb on flop, then similar on turn river.
Would be interested to hear what people think about when to use each, what kind of villains etc... also what kind of bet sizing do you make for value bets?
I would say, slowplay your big hands and c/r bluff the river with any other hand. That's another way to win big stacks.
Che,
