1/2 live

V1: young kid, has said he just started playing at the casino in the fall(so really recently!), I read him as the type of player who gets scared too easily but also falls in love with any good hand
V2: another young kid, complete fish, already taken 400 from him on the night
Hero:have an image of being a good player. I'm up pretty big in a short amount of time. I haven't played a ton of hands but I have been aggressive and forced folds while also winning every showdown (2) to this point. The only other hand I have shown was after I forced a fold with nothing on a four diamond board and a villain showed the ten of diamonds. (I don't show a lot of hands if I don't have to but I do show some to create an image with presumably a lot of Level 1-Level 2 players). I showed that hand so they wouldn't think I'm only playing with nuts, 2nd nuts (I had the nuts on both showdowns)

Stacks:
V1: 180
V2: 200
Hero: 750

I'm in MP with 44.

UTG limps, V2 limps, I limp, 2 folds, V1 in SB raises to 10, UTG folds, V2 calls. I call. (This is probably a fold most of the time with me but against those two players in position I'm calling all day).

Flop- 248r

V1 bets 15, V2 calls, I call, pot now about 75

Turn - 8, 2nd diamond

V1 bets 15, V2 calls. At this point I'm at a crossroads. The betting is too small for me to GII on river but I also don't want to chase both away with a raise. At this point I'm putting V1 on an overpair or AQ/AK. I'm just hoping V2 has A8 or maybe backdoor flush draw although not likely. He has been playing any weak A.

So I make a small raise to 45 just to get the betting ramped up. They both folded.

Should I have just called or was the raise with intention of stacking off ok?

I don't know if that counts as showing results but either way it would be obvious that they both folded if I'm posting this in the first place.

You have the absolute nutter butter and it looks from the betting that these guys have over cards. Let them see another card. Maybe they call a river bet if they make a pair or try to bluff or something; who knows, position is power here.

Preflop is fine. With two villains already in and no chance of a 3 bet after you this is an obvious call. With a raise to $10 I'm seeing the flop even if V2 doesn't call. V1 really needs to raise to $20/$25 in this situation.

Tough situation on the turn but I think the raise is right. Once the second 8 hits on the turn your really hoping one of them has an 8 or the hand is pretty much done no matter what.

Somebody with an over pair that gets 2 calls on the turn isn't going to be happy on the river unless they catch their two outer. You are probably getting a blocking bet or a pained call of a small bet on the river at most. It's usually better to raise the turn and hope somebody has the 8 and will lose their stack then try to nurse another small bet out of a villain.

That is further compounded in this situation by having V2 in the hand. There is no telling what V2 has so it will be hard to avoid losing a lot of money if V2 hits something weird on the river. V2 type villain can have A8s/K8s type hands, 35/67 hands, 87/89 hands, JJ/TT hands. So just about anything is potentially a bad card on the river.

Turn is fine you need someone to have an 8 or a flush draw to get paid, even if you just flat you still need someone to hit a flush on the river to make any money.
