Theory: How big can you raise calling stations pre? Theory: How big can you raise calling stations pre?

I'm trying out some ridiculously big 3bets preflop vs fish that can't fold.

Example:
Fish limps 2 / hero raises to 25 with AJ / fish calls with T6s 100bb deep.
Or Fish straddles 5 / hero Utg opens to 60 with AA / fish calls with QT 250bb deep.

I would like to know more about how far we can push it without making mathematical mistakes.
I understand it depends greatly about stake size and opponent profile...
Is there some guidelines I can follow so I don't spew while I'm testing what seems to be a profitable exploit.

Thanks

I play 1/2.
Not much fold equity postflop against this type of player obv.

I guess this is obvious but neither of your examples are actually three bets.

By mathematical mistakes I assume you mean with regard to the other players? Probably no mathematical mistakes possible heads up against fish like this.

I think that given certain action, in position, fish limp, not many left to act, you can open pretty large. I've gone as big as $80 opens. Post flop play is generally straightforward. Bet made hands, check unmade hands. Don't bluff. Print money.

Changed the title of the thread to reflect what the OP is talking about.

Beware the other players in this kind of dynamic. Illustrative story from last night's game.

I limp in EP with 66. Multi limpers back to button. He raises to $4. Sigh... he'd done this a few times and it got wonky. Naturally everyone called until it got back to LP player who was smart, thinking and opportunistic. He made it $56. Easy Peasy squeeze right?

Folds to me and I thought a bit. This player would never have limped with any decent pair IP (>6).. so he has at best two overs and my 6's are a slight favourite. With about 25 of dead money in the pot, and no one else looking interested - I raised all in (about 225).

Not to hijack your thread - i just thought it was illustrative of what can happen when you're overly focused on the mark and not the rest of the table.

I like this, I'm going to start incorporating it into my game. Easy 75 bucks.

Well, not exactly. For one, it's a pretty rare spot I think. Also the aggr player was no dummy, and figured I wasn't that strong. He called the AI with JTs, hit a J OTF, and I sucked out OTR. But even with him calling the AI, the spot was +EV, regardless of how the cards landed.
