Hi all,

1/3. Hero is short stacking as usual. Just lost an AI pre with AK against QJ and reloaded. Hero is eff with $90. Hero is dealt T6ss in BB and two limpers. SB folds. I check my option. Pot $10.

Flop: As-8s-4d. Check to MP limper (MAWG, seems like a rec) who bets $12. BTN (LAG regular young WG) calls, hero calls $12. Pot $39.

Turn: 5s. Hero checks, MP bets $30, BTN calls. Hero? Can we find a fold anywhere in this hand?

Thanks,
DT

No one should help these shortstackers to get better. Let's face it, we all hate them.

Not sure why we're not betting this flop ourselves. There are plenty of straight cards that we can double barrel.

As played on the flop, you're just trolling if you're talking about folding turn.

only way you find a fold is if you can make a sick live read and make a hero fold

I love shortstackers. 99% of them are terrible. I mean most players are bad as it is, but when someone sits with 50BBs or less its almost a certainty that they are terrible. They might as well hang a sign around their neck.

Thanks guys . . . just checking my sanity on this one. I wanted to be sure it was just a cooler and not some fishy play to call with a 10-high fd with another caller in between who flats when the third spade hits. Set off alarm bells but still couldn't get away from it.

I CRAI, bettor called with 2p, BTN re-jammed with nut flush. Meh.

I don’t play that short but I believe flop should have been a raise or fold. Don’t really understand the plan for the hand just flatting 15% of your stack w/ 10 high flush draw.

If I CRAI, would a better hand on this board fold? Would a worse hand call?

It is expected that better hands would fold (8X, 4X, pp’s, JsXs and maybe weak A’s).

It’s also possible but not likely that worse will call (SD’s or lower FD’s).

Also, thwre’s $34 in the pot and you started the hand with only $90. You need to attempt to win the pot without hitting. If you’re going to short stack and are CRAI here with complete convince I think you’re going to struggle.

First off, don't shortstack. Secondly, I would probably lead this flop since there are good barreling turns, or you can just take it down now. If not leading this flop, just CRAI since plenty of better hands will fold. Lastly, don't shortstack.

Maybe not. Almost certainly.

This couldn't be more irrelevant. Especially when short stacking.
