Playing at the hard rock in Tampa Sunday evening around 10pm. terrible $100 max buy in structure. Decent table has been some good action.

Hero - early 20s white guy, new to this room and don't know anyone. just moved to villains left to obviously have position on him. Villain didn't seem to like that and seems to want to stack me because of it. Villain saw me cbet 1 flop and take it down. He also saw me raise otb with JKo and call a shorties check raise on the flop. Has $250

Villain - late 30s Spanish regular. When he sat down another regular called him by name and told us to hold on. He opens his first hand to $25 and gets it in 3 ways with AQ... He plays a huge range preflop and calls raises with most of his range. He's not positionally aware. No 3bets or post flop raises from him yet although he's only been playing for 1 hour. Villain has $300.

PF - hero opens utg to $13 with KK. Mp calls, villain in bb calls.

Flop ($40) - Q84 rainbow. Checks to hero who bets $25, folds to villain who raises to $65. Hero...?

I think a set slowplays the rainbow safe looking flop. If he's really loose pre he might have some weird 2 pair, but I'd think it's more that he's overplaying Qx. I'd tank call with the intetnion of calling turn as well (given that he seems to be "bad aggro").

I think i'd flat call and call the turn as he's almost always shoving the turn. If you re raise your allowing him to fold bluffs and weak queens etc. By his description though hes stacking off with a queen anyway but i still like flatting then calling the turn. If he checks to you just shove.

Re-raise to $130 and shove turn. Bet more on flop so you can get stacks in by river.

Click it back and call his shove.

I think if we 3! this flop, he's likely to fold out a lot of his weaker queens. He might also fold out his straight draws (but I sort of doubt it) and he's never folding a set, so we really just lose value.
I think we are better off flatting the flop. This puts ~150 in the pot and we've got $190 behind. On the turn we have the option of check/shoving when he bets or I like better to lead out for $75 on the turn and call when he shoves.

Also AQ KQ and possibly QJ are in his range here, and we are way ahead of all of those.

I don't like giving free cards and V obviously likes his hand enough to raise flop so I'm always planning to get it in on flop or turn here.

Grunch
Call, and get it in on any turn. Turn allin would be 170 into 170.

Expecting him to do this with AQ, KQ, QJ, QT, Q9 (though he might have raised pre with AQ). He wants to play for stacks, and will probably do it light. Also can bust JJ, TT, 99. That said, I think this is the best way to get it in with all of these hands. Don't give him a chance to fold by 3betting the flop.

He had Q8. Part of me feels like I could have folded and waited for a better spot. I've noticed even from aggro fish lately raises have still been strong hands. Thoughts?

Was V wearing thick black glasses and entering his dealer tips into a poker tracker smartphone app?

As played, I'm probably calling flop then folding to the shove unimproved.

donkatruck, were you there last night or do you know this guy?

I don't recall glasses or saving his tips to a phone app, I do remember him discussing how great he tips and berating others for only tipping $1 when he would have tipped $10, etc...

I was not there last night, but last two times I played (both within a week) played with that guy. It just sounded like his line w/ 2-pair and the fact that he was agitated for no reason sounded like him too.

The guy I'm thinking of was eager to tell people he has been tipping too much so he was going to track every dollar he tipped into his poker tracker. Since your guy was overtipping, probably not the same guy
