What do you guys think about these straight flush draw shoves? (1/2 NLHE)

HAND 1

Hero (Lo-Jack, covers everyone): Young, Asian Male. Probably seen as a decent player, sat down about an hour and a half ago and got extremely lucky with back to back to back hands. Might be seen as tight to those paying attention to my play after the initial few hands.

Villain (EP): Middle aged, Asian Male. Loose with bets, hasn't shown to be too loose with calls though.

Preflop: UTG Limps, Villain Limps, I put in an 8BB raise with 9d8d, Button calls, UTG calls, Villain calls.

Flop (34BB): 9h 10d Jd.
My hope was to check shove but Villian bets 22BB (2/3ish Pot). I shove for about 75BB effective.

HAND 2

Hero (Button, covers everyone): Young, Asian Male. Probably seen as a decent player. Probably somewhat tight. It's about 3AM in the morning, who knows what everyone was thinking.

V1 (Small Blind, somewhat short stacked): Young to Middle aged, Middle Eastern Male. Slightly above average player at the table. Always talking about bad beats and ridiculous plays from others that have been panning out (rightfully so, however). Seems to know the game.

V2 (Big Blind): Middle aged, Asian Male. Started fighting with someone almost immediately after sitting down. Not a winning player, but definitely someone who knows the basics.

Preflop: Folds to me on the Button. I put in a 6BB raise with 10sJs. I get called by both villains in the blinds.

Flop (16BB): 9s 8s 6c
V1 bets 2BB (1/8 pot), V2 raises to 10BB, Hero shoves for 40BB effective.

How could I have played these hands better? Should I have waited for later streets to shove even with the chance of decreased equity and the chance of hitting but action slowing down?

#1) NH
#2) NH....maybe a tad smaller for a button open but gotta shove here.

I prefer a shove in hand 1 and a call in hand 2. In hand 1, villain is unlikely to have a set, since he limped preflop and most villains will raise TT and JJ pre. He's also likely to raise KQ preflop, and you block the low end of the straight. Plus, you're ahead of all villain's flush draws.

In hand 2, I might consider calling. But you can't really go wrong shoving this shallow.

Thanks for your input guys.

In hand 1, Villain had J9 and tank called. Didn't hit anything.

In hand 2, V1 snap calls and V2 folds. Didn't hit anything. V1 slow rolls me with J10 for a chop lol! V2 says he had A9.
